Some more New Songs for the New Season

    (To the tune of)

    1:
    "Amore"

When the ball hits the net
Its a fairly safe bet that its Johnny
    John O'Fynn

    And When Cork City score
You will hear the Shed roar "Oh, its Johnny
    John O'Flynn"

    Pat Morley, Johnny C.,
Now it's the best that we see? "Oh, its Johnny
    John O'Flynn"

He's the King of the Shed
He leaves the re-est for dead,
    John O'Flynn

    John O' Flllyyynnn!!!

    2:
    "This Old Man"

    This old man
    He told me
    Alan Reynold's got VD
    With a knick knack paddywhack
    Give the scum a bone
    Shamrock Rovers f*ck off home

    This old man
    He told us
    Alan Reynold's got syphilis
    With a knick Knack needlewhack
    Give the scum some herion
Junkies please f*ck off to Dubalin

    3.
    "Adams FamilY"

    In our defensive foursome
    He's absolutely awesome
From corners he will score some
    It's Da-an Murray

"think this was mentioned at the end of last season...quality chant though.....

    4.
    "Hi Ho"

    Hoggie, Hoggie,
    Hoggie, Hoggie, Hoggie
    He's Dannys Mate,
    And he is great
    Hoggie Hoggie

    Hoggie, Hoggie, Hoggie
    Hoggie, Hoggie, Hoggie
    When danger's near,
    he's always there
    Hoggie Hoggie

    repeat...

Its about time hoggie got a good song........

    5.
    "London Bridge"

    Ha'penny Bridge is falling down
    Falling down, falling down
    Ha'penny Bridge is falling down
    Poor old Jackeens
Build it up with Green and Red
    Green and Red
    Green and Red
Build it up with Green and Red
    Poor old Jackeens

Not great but well worth a shout for the visiting jackeens...

So thats another 3 added and there's more to come.....These 3 can easily be learned by the young and old non-singers..not exactly complicated...

What do people think? A few more to be added next week. There was a debate a while back about having no new songs. Well here's two.

Are they any good? How do we get more people to become more familiar with the new (good) ones? Are these good enough to be sent into 451 for the first edition of the new season? Any feedback is welcome.
I'll be destroyed if they're not liked

    Another one added::

Oooh, we are the boys from Turners Cross,
    Cork City is our name,
when all the fans sing outloud,
(can be changed to: When all St Annes or When all the corner)
then City will win the game.
We'll beat the scum and Shelbourne too,
    and put the Boezzz away.
Dundalk and Ramblers are no match,
    because winning is our way.

We'll tell you of our football team,
    Cork City is our name.
We've won the league, we've won the cup,
We're the finest in the game,
    We've got the greatest striker,
    Our manager could employ,
Lets drink ten pints to John O'Flynn,
    Pat Dolans' pride and joy.

Given the average mentality of the scuts who seem to be taking over the shed, these are far too complicated !!
Fair play though, as the Judas song in particularly is very good.
Defo one to print for 451!

Honestly don't have a clue. Took the jist from some other football website then altered and added to them to suit us. So maybe the tunes were the same but I can't imagine two people coming up with the same alterations and additions?

One fat Dolan, standing on the wall...

    No wait, something's wrong there....
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

    Fair enough, you're probably right!
It's sung around Europe grounds but I can't hear what words they're using though...

    How about these words:

    Pat Dolan, win the league,
bring it home, where it belongs,
    Turners Cross yeah,
    Cork City.
    Pat Dolan, win the league.

For the underage club in the Shed.

Drink, drink, wherever you may be,
We are the drunk and disorderly,
    but we don't give a sh1t, and we don't give a fcuk,
Coz we get in with beer in a McDonalds cup.

    This one is for everyone...

We've followed the City for many a day,
and seen all the matches at home and away,
and when the games over and City have won,
we're off to the tavern to join in the fun,
and it's Cork City, Cork City FC,
By far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
    Have Boot Disk, will travel

Yeah, that was in the last issue of FourFiveOne and I think it's a really good one but it's another one of those ones that only about 10 or 20 will sing and all the rest will try and drown it out with something stupid like 'City til I die'!
