I fear Hilly might be right. We were a bit short last season in the middle and with Reynolds gone we don't look great there. The only hope is that O'Grady recaptures his form of the season before last.
Oh for a young Davie Barry or Patsy Freyne![]()
Bumped into an old favourite of ours in my local garage today .... Dave Hill......must be living locally in Blackrock...... wished him well in the new season and asked him how he thought City would do.
He said we looked good but needed some more strength in midfield.........words of wisdom, or what ........ will we look back on this in months to come I wonder?
I suggested he should come back to us but he said he was too old..... Hilly allways wore his heart on his sleeve, I say.
Oh by the way, my young lad slipped a cornetto into the items he was buying .... Hilly paid for it and when I offered to pay him back he wouldn't even hear of it.......... well done Dave, I always thought highly of you.
Pity about Sunday........ we''re gonna stuff you.
See you at the Statoil in the future ......... I owe you a cornetto!

hayser ... you are getting more desparate by the post my friend, you'll be coming out with classics soon.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
i hate all this crap bout o'grady, and if he gets his touch back. theres a young central midfielder after comin up from the youths and 21s and was very impressive when he played. so far in the friendlies it has been beteen o'grady and buckley to play along side greg. o'grady started yesterday but was brought on as sub in the other games against galway and rockmount.
buckley started those games ans was impressive, if dolan starts buckley saturday he will get alot more out of him than he would out of o'grady.
After the game on sunday, i'd say that conor still has it. One of the few good perfomances on the worst playing pitch i've ever seen city play on.
If deccie is gonna start with dan at the back wot about benno and greg in the centre of midfield???
Notice nobody answered you though Hayser...Originally posted by hayser
