The Mayo Ladies were defeated in thier first U.E.F.A Cup game earlier today. cora Staunton got their only goal, heard it was not as one sided as the scoreline sugests. Sportowy scored two of their four goals in the last few minutes.

It sure is, Triona McNicholas, Annette Gallagher and Marta Carter were also missin from the eleven that stated the F.A.I. Cup final last December. For 2moro's game all the dual players are flying home to play with the Mayo Gaelic team against Monaghan so it will be even more difficult for them to get a result

mayo also lost their second match to austria champs 3 -0 great second half display they lost the last match to hibs 8 - 0 when hibs scored two goals in the last three minutes girls looked tired some had a bad game over all that day. is it time for a all ireland league as the other countries have hibs play 30 matchs a year and it will all ways be very hard for any irish team to come out of the group stages. but fair dues to the mayo team they play lifford next.
