    Galway V Celtic XI

Whats the story with this game. Anyone know the score or are ye all at the game?????
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

I am informed that the match is very boring indeed.

Yep. Hammered them by a goal.

I presume Galway had a weakened side out if they are playing on friday.

Only because we fielded the youngsters in the second half and let them back into it. Overall though we hammered them.

Ah well, I'm sure GU made a good few quid.

    The main thing.

So much for Celtic bringing over a "strong squad"
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Celtic are into their season now. You'd hardly expect them to be bringing the likes of Naka and Brown over. It is a strong squad. Sno, Gravesen, O'Dea, Pressley, Caldwell and Balde are all first team squad players. I was expecting a reserve squad at best.

Bloody barstoolers! I expect you'll be back to Terryland sometime soon though? Or I'll have to kick yer ass!

Well as friendlies go it was par for the coruse , not much to get really one can say about it apart from United made some money out of it . Celtic seemed to have a lot of kids playing , I don't know too much about the team but the but the only one I knew was Sno . As for United I have nothing really positive to say a wasted game . Our midfield were out to lunch and as for Barry well I was happy when he dropped back to right back which says it all .
If I was pushed I would say Wes did quite well while he was on but to pick a player of the match for Gayway I would go for Robson who looked good at the back and added a bit of much needed steel in midfiled after half time .
As for the guy on trial Hughes I would say not much better than we have at the moment in the squad .
    Roll on Friday night .

    Harps team:
Cullen, Holmes, McLaughlin, Boyle, Roddy, O'Loughlin, McGowan, Sheilds, Divin, Gethins, Friel.
subs: Doherty, Asokuh, Minnock, Brolly, Funston, Havlin, McElwaine (all on at HT)

    Celtic team:
Fox, Virgo, O'Dea, Caldwell, Pressley, Balde, Caddis, Sno, O'Brien, Gravesen, McGowan.
subs: Breen for Caddis (58mins) Conroy for O'Brien (58 mins) Ferry for Sno (76 mins)

    compared to last night:

    Galway team:
Gough, Robson, Charles, Reilly, Tracey, Moran, Foley, Murphy, Davoren, Faherty, Hughes
subs: Egan, Synott, McCormack, Keane, McBrien, Molloy (all 61 mins)

    Celtic team:
Fox, Caddis, Cuthbert, O'Dea, Conroy, Quinn, Ferry, Sno, Gardyne, Virgo, McGowan.
subs: Reid, Miller, O'Carrol (all 80 mins)

We truely would have hit 5/6 easily had we stuck with our 1st half team. We had bundles of chances after 3-0 and even in the second half with a virtually new team out we could have scored more.
Only 3000 at the game? We had Over 5000 and could have sold more tickets had we a bigger ground.
