    Kerr needs us!

Article about Kerr saying that he wants passion from the crowd for our 3 home games coming up....soccercentral.ie

There was a thing on eL message board suggesting all eL fans turn up to the games with their respective big flags and show the typical boring Lansdowne crowd how it's done.

    Good idea.....

great quote by Kerr, about how some of the Ireland fans treat a game as if they were at the Legion of Mary or something.... hopefully that’ll stir up the ‘Ole Ole’ brigade. I reckon if most of the spectators were eL fans, the atmosphere would improve no end.

The atmosphere in Lansdowne is usually awful. It'd be cool if a good few EL fans could get together for the next few home games.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

    Thumbs up Flags

Soccercentral have an email address set up,
    fansdisplay@soccercentral.info

for eL fans to contact, as they are going to try to co-ordinate the
fans and media with the FAI to have the eL fans congregete in
the South Terrece with thier team colours and flags.

But you can't "just go along to Lansdowne" any more - all the games are sold out long ago, and the waiting list stopped at 600 people...

Do the clubs still get tickets? If the 22 clubs each got 10 tickets for the same area of the ground, which would be sold to fans and not suits, then maybe that could act as a catalyst for a bit of atmosphere.

    Friendly

Thats whay they're starting with the friendly against
    Norway.

You can get tickets for friendlies direct from the FAI or usually
    from ticketmaster fairly handy.

tickets should DEFINATLY be distributed through the clubs, a la GAA. Do the FAI think there wont be enough demand if they do that or something?? There would only be true soccer fans there then

    Clubs get an allocation

Dunno how many they get but Clubs definately do get an
allocation. Depends on who they give them to. Some pay off
cronies with them others raffle them off to raise funds others
have thier own block booking schemes etc.

Clubs have to be careful who to give tickets too though as
from what I've heard Athlone Town got a rap on the knuckles
(and possibly a fine) when it was found out that the fella who ran
out in his y-fronts for a bet during the Cyprus game had got his
ticket from ATFC s allocation! (dont quote me on that though)
