The flags that were taken are :
Netherlands national flag
Maroon and white "Galway United Supporters Club"
Maroon and white with tri-colour "Newbridge Brigade"
Tricolour "Galway United FC"
A notice has already been read out on Galway Bay FM. The purpose of
the posts on both GUST fora is to ask supporters, particularly anyone living
near the ground, to keep an eye out for the flags. There is a high probability
that they are dumped behind a wall or ditch close to Terryland.
How come the flags are left at the ground on non-match nights? Would ye not take them home after the match?

They are normally taken down between matches. Given that there was 48 hours between the friendly vs Sunderland (8th August) and the match vs Waterford (10th August), some supporters left their flags in the ground.
The flags were taken on the night of the 9th August.
Have they nothin better for doin in fairness
One flag was dropped back today but the two others are still missing the Tricolour and the Supporters Club Flag both of which are nearly 20 years being displayed all over the country. Anyone got any friends in the Ballinfoile/Tirellan area who could check out the locals to see if there is any more info.

you just accused people from my neighbourhood of tirellan as being thieves etc when we all know its those knocknacarra lads who are the rough crowd in Galway-im joking btw before i get a torrent of replies.

Cut your losses and get a new flag. Get a price for a new flag and come back to this thread with a price. We will do a whip around and help pay for it.
