Think he is the one cap wonder. Eamon O'Keefe was another crap player at Everton during that era who played for us.
Might be a bit harsh on Mike Walsh who was an established top flight regular for Bolton for a number of years before moving to Everton. It was only then his eligibility came to light and his career went downhill after the Everton move, otherwise I think he'd have won more caps. As far as I remember he won 8 or 9 caps, I think he was on the ill fated South American tour.

Good memory, RiffRaff. Only four caps for Mike Walsh and three of those came on the disastrous 1982 tour. Apart from his one competitive appearance (a 2-0 home win against Iceland) he had previously lost to Chile, Brazil and Trinidad & Tobago.

Mickey Walsh had a longer career from 1976 to 1984 and the highlight was his winner against Russia in 1984. He also won Goal of the Season in England and played in the European Cup Winners Cup Final with Porto.

Lads, the Mickey Walsh I was talking about was the defender, not the striker. He was absolutely shocking and I am pretty sure he only got the one opportunity in a competitive game.

Eddie McGoldrick was a great utility player, he ended up at Arsenal during USA 94 if I remember correctly. Jack Charlton raved about him in his World Cup Diary book, one of them anyway. He's nowhere near the Joseph Lapira category.

thank you CR - McGoldrick always seems to get a rough go of it. He was a decent player.

Ah jaysus. I was just using it as an opportunity to point out that he was a character in LA Noire. When else would I get the chance?
