Keith Foy.
Oh, fastest...
I know we dont do optastats here in the eircom league which is a shame but it would be interesting to know who would be the fastest player in the league.
I am thinking Joseph Ndo,Liam Kearney or maybe even Pat McCourt?
What do you think then?
Keith Foy.
Oh, fastest...

When was Ndo ever fast? Ollie Cahill when he gets going is a mover. Richi Baker used to be very fast while warming up too
I would say the top 3 are
1. Roy O'Donovan
2. Mark Farren
3. Fabio O'Brien
who'd win in a race between Keith Foy and Neale Fenn?
Neither, Burdocks would see them coming and drive off
are ya joking!!..... have ya seen derek glynn run?? nobody comes close to him!.
ever goal he's scored bar one have come through his sheer pace and strength(stocky lad) coupled with his shot accuracy.... leaves defender for dust and finds the corner!. he doesnt win any headers, take long shots etc....
he would be by far the fastest player in the league it couldnt be possible anyone would catch him!!
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D
Hey Lads,
Well i remember reading an article about ndo being the fittest and paciest player in the league in some newspaper months ago and it just stuck in my head that he must be the fastest.
So what about Zayed or Mark Quigley?
Roy O'Donovan.
Haven't seen Derek Glynn in full flight.
Maybe there's a you-tube video flying about?
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"
G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
Ger McCarthy was international sprinter material in his pomp and would probably still be the quickest player in the league if he came back into pro football and had a decent pre-season. Mark Rooney was up there too. Mark Rutherford over short distances.
Robbie Shields was probably the quickest player I saw in the league, immediately after he came back to Shels from Leeds.

O'Donovan is the fastest I've seen but of course he runs like a big girl, hands flying out everywhere...
...Alan Bennett was always very fast actually, never saw him out paced by an opposition striker
Oh no not them again
Michael Keane of St Pats is incredibly fast!! watching him monday night and it were hard to keep up with him
Rafael Cretaro.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
There are lots of "fastest player".
I'm sure you will find that the fastest over 20 yds is not the fastest over 100 yds.
What distance are you talking about?
Good point Sniffa,
I would say it is over 100 yards as that is what they do in the english premiership and thierry henry regularly topped those charts when he was there.
Ger McCarty was the fastest player i have ever seen , really is a shame he decided to give up football altogther. Relish the thoughts of him back at dundalk.
" Fail to prepare , then prepare to fail."
He's still playing with Tolka Rovers. Might be signing for Shels next season.

The sharpest over 10 yards is Murphy ( Bohs keeper ). I've been very impressed with his reading of the game. I've seen Tadhg Purcell overtake many a centre half this season.
Ye are all wrong, it has to be Tom the Gom,
Who else can travel the length and bredth of the country following matches faster than him??????????
Have to agree that Glynn looks very sharpe....
