Thats avoiding the point, all of those players have local clubs that they can play with and I think a fair few of them have since left the club. I reiterate my point that since players are now playing for their home clubs the league is becoming more competitive.

Obviously with the right people in charge St.Michaels have some very good young players that can become a very good team.

Although Clonmel Celtic, Bansha Celtic and Rock Rovers are all starting to produce young talent so the challenge is there. Do you think St.Michaels can get back to the top

The only results I heard were St.Michaels winning ( which I have to agree was a surprise at the extent of the victory - thats usually a tough fixture for anyone) and Bansha Celtic winning.....anyone else got any news ?

I think Clonmel Town got a walkover from Killusty.
Old Bridge beat Burncourt 3-1, Cahir beat Vee Rovers 2-0.

to be fair clonmel celtic had a weak team out missing 5 1st team players added to that they missed a lot of chances and galbally took theirs. celtics problems are far from over every wk their is a different team and half the players dont know what teammates they will have from week to week.

It is really unfortunate to hear that. The TSDL really needs the teams like Clonmel Celtic to get it together and make the league more interesting. It is at least good to see that some of the teams are improving from last year and hopefully with a few upsets the league can do itself justice by becoming competitive this year.

No major upsets in the MJC.... any predictions for winners at this early stage?

tsdl oscar traynor squad to face Waterford in Ozier Park on Sunday.
James Walsh, Derek Breen, Paul Breen, Ray McMahon, Chris Higgins, Paul Kennedy, Pa Quinn, Alan Kiely, Shane McGrath (all St. Michael’s), Darren Burns, Tony Scully, Aaron Moroney, Dwayne Burns, Michael Coady, Ian Fraher, Ramie Condon (all Clonmel Town) Andrew Cosgrave, John Ryan (both Clonmel Celtic), Donal Duggan, Alan Leahy (both Peake Villa) and Ken Ryan (Two Mile Borris).

very strong squad. hope they all commit to it this year. if they do have great chance of winning the comp. paul tobin and paul scully 2 notable absentees. are they injured. couple of players id also consider for squad would be michael ryan peake villa and robbie costigan cahir park .

Glad to see you have donal duggan in there in CM. Villas best player this season and some would say for the last few seasons as well!

Paul Scullys knees will barely survive the rigours of the regular season so I'm fairly certain that he wont be available for the OT side. IMO M.Coady is the best lb/lm in the league at the moment, i'll be surprised if he doesnt play.

Town v Michaels should be a belter with the winner playing the Bridge. For a dark horse outsider i'm going to have a tenner on Lisselton from Kerry.

    best possible oscar traynor.

    J. Ryan

    p. Tobin m. coady
    p.breen J.Walsh

Dwayne burns p.scully davy Ryan Adam Mcsharry

    Moroney Kennedy

a strong arguement could be made for t. scully i. barnes.

i went for the celtic keeper even though he is a loose canon he is a pretty good keeper.
