Michael Hogan(Scouter) scored a 25 yard cracker to give Nenagh the lead , Raymond Condon equalised by hammering the ball in from 6 yards after a long throw had failed to be dealt with .

Jean Semanovich made it 2-1 Clonmel in the first half of extra time and Michael O'Gorman equalised in the second half of extra time after a **** up between the keeper and one of his defenders .

Nenagh were coming on strong towards the end of extra time but couldn't find a 3rd goal to nick the game . Clonmel won 5-3 on penalties(not 5-4 as some sources are saying) with Michael Coady, Barry O’Neill, Kenneth Kiely, Richie Ryan and Arron Moroney scoring for them and Michael O'Gorman , Stefan Olah and Gary McCormack scoring for Nenagh , Martin Donnellan missed for Nenagh .
Wasn't at the match but it was big scare for Town. Still, they are in round and thats all that matters

it was a scare for them alright . luckily they got through cause they represent the leagues best chance of any success this year. cant see any other team doing anything. the exodus of players from certain clubs is crazy. peake loosing so many to kilkenny. cahir must have lost at least 7 first team regulars of last seasons squad to other teams shane mcgrath, paul frazer,pa quinn, keith maguire, tango etc . 8 of galballys squad from last year havent kicked a ball yet this season. leaving them to rely on b team players to make up numbers and having bare eleven players on a sunday. clonmel celtic too have lost loads paul kennedy, stephen ryan , danny madigan etc. the standard in premier league has really dropped this year and i cant see it getting any better in the near future
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!

If the lunacy of the last few years where they get a good run and then go on the **** before a big game disappears then yeah I would really expect them to finish 3rd.

They have a good group of lads who thankfully want to play together and play with Bansha Celtic. It is nice to see some loyalty to one's home club still left in the game.

Eddy Grace, Chester O Dwyer, Michael O Connell, Stephen McGrath, Tony Egan, Barry Grogan, Adrian Grace and I believe -(had more clubs than Tiger Woods)- Bocca Glasheen ....a great mix of youth and experience. They stay together they will do well......hopefully

    Michaels v Cashel

Was at the match in tipp yesterday!!Cashel gave Michaels a lesson in football in the 90 mins..Cashel were 2-0 up at half time and were unlucky not to be more up..One or two sloppy goals cost cashel but they gave Michaels a scare and were very impressive!!!

Very true and I am a saints fan, was a great cup game and cashel gave their all, thing is though saints are in the next round.. showed great character 2-0 down then 3-2 down in extra time.. cashel will have to learn from the experience that you need to close out games.. Michaels never panicked and once James Walsh got them back in it with a great header i was confident they'd go on to win it. remember too they lost paul breen and paul tobin to injury so all in all great character shown when they played second fiddle for 90 mins

    Breeno injured??

I agree with ya 100% that cashel need to learn how to close out games, but that will come with experience as their team is a very youthful team.Paul Breen was not injured,he just had a very bad day and was taken off.Paul Tobin was injured.Michaels are in the next round all the same but they still need to come to Cashel in two weeks time and that should be another good game in the FAI..

Cashel do have a good side this year and heard they had a easy win yesterday.Played them in pre season and they looked very fit.Need a top keeper and centre half if want to be a very top side.have to say they look like a club on the up if they can keep all their players!!Tip them to beat Michaels next time.Michaels not the team they used to be!

if they learn from their mistakes they should,no reason why not!!you have to admit saints not as good as they used to be,their standards are slipping, and ill be the first to put my hands up and admit i was wrong if cashel do not beat them.

thats the beauty about footie.. everyone has an opinion... not sure about standards dropping.. its only october... judge at end of season.... may the best team win as they say.. hopefully we'll get as good and as competitive and entertaining a game as we did last week.....

Its not like St. Michaels have set the FAI alight in the last two years, they have gone out before anyone even thinks about whos looking good for the latter stages.

Cashel by all accounts deserved to win the last game, so why is it such a shock to hear someone say that they can win the next one !!

I agree about Michaels not being as good as before, loosing games they would have scored a hatful of goals in a few years ago. Is it the fact that players are more inclined to stay with their own clubs now or are the players just not there???

How come Clonmel Town can keep a high standard every year and no-one else can

The reason why clonmel can keep a very good standard is because they are always on the look out for new players for the next season, thinking a head, planning for the future!!plus they have a very good core of local players who are some of the best around.i have to admit michaels have a few decent players too in breen and walsh.about cashel they have players now who will not leave for the so called bigger clubs which has happened alot in the past. The town of cashel produces some of the best and if cashel keep these players which now is starting to happen they will a force to be reckoned with in the near future.am i right in saying cashel will be at home against michaels,ya?

cashel don t even have a youth team so dont know where they are gonna produce these players from to keep in future. most of the players with cashel now left em 2or 3 years ago to sign for rosegreen when cashel were struggling.i honestly think saints will beat them 2 or 3 nil on sunday in the fai
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!
