    Roy Keane.
I would almost completely agree with you, but would that not depend a lot on the other 10 playing?
I reckon Brady was the most creative player ever produced, well I can't comment on the 60s, 50s, 40s, 30s and so on, and won a huge amount of games for the teams he played in.

Of course you're right the other 10 would be important but out of the 11 that played I think Keane would probably dominate both the team and the match and contribute more to the result.
Out of all the Irish players (and probably in the world) I dont think that anyone has dominated and shaped games as much as Keano has both in defence and attack.
A lot of the other players mentioned are excellent in one or other of the areas.
Keane is the ultimate box to box player that Ireland has ever had.

nah they would've had to actually WALK (no shuttle buses or ickle golf carts) the whole 5 yards from the dressing room to the pitch so Keano wouldn't play. Gimmie back my ball im goin home to my mammy

    Brine2: Don't worry about it.
"Memory" is an amazing concept in Ireland.
Even on this board you still get petty little gobsh*tes who are fighting the civil war. These idiots have the most selective memory in the world.
Don't bother about the peanuts, they are just an empty shell with the same old bullsh*t echoing from within.

Can we just drop this already? Keane is God/Satan yadda yadda yadda. Personally I haven't p1ssing time for the man but I think we've all made our minds up by now and there's nothing at all to be gained by opening up that can of worms/peanuts again. I won't change your mind, you won't change my mind, it'll just go round in circles ad infinitum...
The ball is round and has many surprises.

    You silly little boy.
Is this another manifestation of your/FF paranoia?
Take a general comment and turn it into a personal slight?
Look back at various postings on this board by various posters asking stupid questions like "where were you in 1916" and ****e like that.
Of course its much easier to try to ascribe your own petty characteristics to someone else.
    To paraphrase Oscar Wilde,
I like talking to a brick wall, I find it is the only thing that can never contradict me.

Gee those sticks and stones hurt me so..
I guess you feel better now that you have some other opinion to validate your own.
How do you ever survive a football match with so many dirty words and bad language been bandied about?

BTW, you should do something about your self-esteem. Recognising yourself as a repetitive, bullsh*t spouting, empty peanut shell is the kick you probably need to get yourself sorted out.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Oddboy, I have no problem with the swearing. I swear every second word, especially at games. But again, when you litter a pretty trivial discussion with vulgarities, you're sending out signals that you're rattled by it all - come on, tell me you've read Manwatching, you surely know that signals stuff.

There's so much to be said for the old counting to ten before posting...

Yet again, you are selective regarding my post.
    READ it.
The point I was making was about memory.
I repeat that even now some people are fighting the civil war which took place 80 years ago. The RK situation was almost as divisive, and will not be forgotten by some people for a long time.

I am to blame, I admit, for continuing to post in reply to you. But if your paranoia is such that you see references to yourself in posts by me, that blame lies with you.

Have we had enough of this now?
