Think that sums up your knowledge of football, to be honest.
No he's not.
Here's their record in Europe - gotten past a round every year for the past three years, only knocked out by FC Basel (who were in the CL group stages only a couple of years ago) on away goals last year, and have results against Scottish, Croatian and Latvian opposition.
Not exactly world beaters, but losing to them by a single goal each time is nowhere near as bad as getting hammered by Carmarthen or drawing in San Marino.
he is correct in that the other game that i cannot mention is not the worst result in EL history

Moldovan Opposition anyone?
Life isn't all beer and football...some of us haven't touched a football in months
Or 14-0 and 16-1.
From UEFA.com:
Libertas became the first team from San Marino to avoid defeat in a UEFA club competition game, coming from behind against Drogheda.
I agree that they would do well, in the A League. A semi-decent match fit NL side would and should wallop bus drivers and brickies from the then Swiss second division.Originally Posted by De Town

So you honestly think losing to Vaduz - a team who've progressed the past three years now and who boast numerous internationals - is a worse result than losing to Maltese, Estonian or Welsh opposition? Or losing 10-0 to Moldovans?
Give it over, will you?
How long has mypost been wumming this site and yet ye still keep responding to him.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I know. It's therapeutic on occasions though.![]()
So you honestly think Pats would have lost by that score if they had 17 league games under their belt, do you?Originally Posted by pineapple stu

Actually, their current squad lists only four Liechtenstein nationals. They do boast a Macedonian international with Premiership experience, and in their lats campaign had a player with SPL experience as well.
In addition, the Liechtenstein national team isn't that bad, having gotten results in the past four years against Portugal, Luxembourg (7-1 on aggregate), Latvia, Iceland, Macedonia and Slovakia.
LOL at the notion that the Shels result was grand until Hibs scored. Sure isn't every result a 0-0 until someone scores?
Want to keep digging?
I see you haven't answered the Pats question. We'll take that as a no then, shall we??
Despite the busmen's apparantly great results lately, (still losing btw), they walloped fellow part-timers Luxembourg, (not difficult) however I should point out that they're also the only team to lose to San Marino as well. (not included of course
)
Re Shels: Everyone remembers them beating Hajduk Split, while forgetting to mention that they barely scraped past an Icelandic team in the previous round on away goals. There's a reason for that.
As a pats fan who was there, the 1st 2nd and 3rd times they got the ball they scored. We assumed we would win as they were moldovan but they were better than us in every way and we the best team in the EL in the 90s.
Yeah chickens counting and assuming your better is something not seen anymore in inchicore.

And for the record the Moldovans were the higher seeds and not everybody expected us to win
