Jeez... what a question... could give you a different answer every day of the week... just a couple...

"This worlds an ugly place but you're so beautiful to me" - Blink 182/ 'Going Away To College'

"I was tired of being tired" - Soul Asylum/ 'I did my best'

"I only wanted to be 16 and free" - Blind Melon/ forget the song title, little help James?

"Your ass like Jesus' feet, worth kissing" - Therapy?/ 'Bowels of Love'

    "I don't wanna be an @sshole anymore" - Lit/ 'Last Time Again'

    "We sit and pray together
That they might change the weather
If I seem different that because
    You shouldn't see me crying
Ice Cold Ice" - Husker Du/ 'Ice Cold Ice'

"Angel, you know that it's not the end, we'll always be good friends" - Smashing Pumpkins/'Perfect'

"We wake up in the breakdown of the things we never thought we could be" - Goo Goo Dolls/ 'Here Is Gone'

"And out of all this hurt we have, beauty doth become" - Tantric/ 'Mourning'

"She cries her life is like, some movie black & white, dead actors faking lines, over and over and over again she cries" - Fuel/ 'Hemmorhage' (In my hands)

"Too young to feel the pain and bitterness of love" - Cold/ 'Confession'

"I just wanna love you, just for while want to, to be with you all night, to be with you all night, until I fall asleep" - Snow Patrol/ 'An Olive Grove Facing The Sea'

"All good things have endings" - The Get Up Kids/'Forgive and Forget'

And many, many more - :-)
The ball is round and has many surprises.

"Im as serious as cancer, when I tell you.............................................. Rhythm is a dancer"

well thats the worst, but my favourite is a Massive Attack one from the Blue Lines album, cant remember the song:

" i was looking back at you looking back at me looking back at you"

Took me ages to realise what he was on about.

Ooh it's just like 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'!!!

In his best Sean Hughes impression (I'm aware he's left!)

Well clearly he's been seeing a girl with the unusual surname of 'Tomorrow' and I think that either she's pregnant because then it's all about life and other such lifely themes or else... or else he's sleeping with her mum and he doesn't want her to find out for as long as possible because well... obviously sleeping with your girlfriend's mum will complicate your relationship unless your girlfriend is very open-minded indeed.

And did anybody here know that Sean Hughes is a Crystal Palace fan?

    The Rezillos - "Good Sculptures"

"Beware of the Flowers cos I'm Sure They're Gonna Get You, Yeah!"
John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett - "Beware of the Flowers"

"There's a Guy Works Down the Chipshop Swears he's Elvis."
    Kirsty McColl

    Whats the start of

that song Rockaby or Lullaby or something?
Something bout hanging out with Sonny and Cher.

"You were the first girl in school to get breasts,
And Martin said that you were the best,
All the boys all loved ya but i was mess, i had to watch them try to get ya undressed ,
We were friends that was as far as it went,
i used to walk ya home sometimes but it meant,
ah it meant nothing to ya,
    Cos you were so popula."

I hate to be very boring now but

You could throw the whole of Imagine in there too.
It'll always be considered one of the great songs in every countdown or what have ya.
    Beautifully simple.
