    Bohemians Friday

Difficult selection choice for Pete methinks.

Back 4 normally picks itself but with McFaul out, Tony Mc might get the nod - not convinced about him in centre mid so pete might do Kenna left back, Tony and Maccer centre half.

Keeper presumably Quigs. Midfield will be tricky - suspect we will see Conan, Finn, Fitzy and ?? McWalter ? Tony Mc ? Kinger or Bolger ? Doyler ?

Up front is no easier - Sammo ? Yes based on Rovers but no based on Longford. Timmy ?

    Guesswork says:

    Quigley
    Alan M
    Tony
    McNally
    Kenna
    Conan
    Finn
    Bolger
    Fitzy
    Sammo
    Timmy
    DB Cooper is alive !

I think Pete will go with the usual back four with Ian Bermingham. I don't think you'll see Bolger jump into the team ahead of Paul Crowley against a team like Bohs. I think he'll go with the same team as last week.

Lads whats happened to McMillan - i thought he was v v godd at start of season

I presume he is an under 21player?

I must start going to see the under 21s also i think

If McFaul is out for sure I would go with Crowley and Finn

Back four of Mahon, McNally, Kenna and Bermo

I would like to see purcell ahead of forsyth alongside sammon

    Quigly between the posts

Cona byrne on one wing - is Fitzgerald out?

Mcwalter ready for a comeback? maybe byrne or or mcwalter can play on the left

Im not a fan of doyle to be honest

When Bermingham was signed McMillan got moved out of the line-up so the defence would have a better shape to it. And yes he's in the U-21s now.

I don't think Fitzgerald will be back from injury. Conan wouldn't be shifted from the right wing to accomodate McWalter but McWalter can play on the left. I'd like to see him ahead of Doyle. I agree with the rest of your team.

    From RTÉ Sport:
UCD boss Pete Mahon is expected to make changes from the side that lost to Longford on Saturday when Bohemians visit Belfield Park.

Goalkeeper Darren Quigley played at Flancare Park and had a decent game but may make way for Matt Gregg. That was one of four changes Mahon made to his side after the previous week's defeat to Shamrock Rovers.

Paul Crowley came off the bench but could start as Mahon looks to shake things up. Shane McFaul is out having been injured in the warm up before the Longford game.

Shane Fitzgerald and Paul Byrne also have knocks.

Bohs' last competitive outing was a 0-0 draw with Derry City, a game many observers felt Derry dominated.

Captain Kevin Hunt is suspended. Neale Fenn was left on the bench with Darren Mansaram preferred against Derry but the former Cork City hit man might start against UCD.
Interesting. Can't see the logic in dropping Quigley. If Crowley starts I think it shows how much Tony Mc's performance has dropped this season.

I think we can win this tonight if we play like we did against Rovers. Bohs are not that good but their defence is solid so I think a 0-0 is on the cards.

well they were 3 points that werent really deserved!!

Bohs were far better team tonight but in the end were unable to break ucd down and for all their possession and pushing didnt create too many real openings/chances

Crowe should have lashed home his chance in first chance when he tried to be clever and place it/lob it

You were right about mcwalter not being able to play on the left!

I thought Conor Kenna was excellent tonight, pure class display

I just wish sammon would be more agressive at times, run at people even, cause he is quick enough

Ah now come on, Bohs were slightly better but not enough to have deserved to have won. A draw would have been a fair result.

Nah, I was fully expecting to concede for most of the game. Bohs had most of the play.

And did very little with their possession. If you don't score you don't deserve to win, regardless of how much of the ball you have.

Quigley had a couple of decent saves to make, it doesn't matter who deserves to win a game anyway.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
