    Foley on way out

Ciaran Foley has been told that he is surplus to requirements and can go out on loan to another Club for the remainder of the season when his contract expires.

    I'd have made him captain!

Whats goin on ffs? Foley imo is the only lad who'll close down the opposition in the middle of the park and always gves 100%. He was dropped cos he put on a few lbs apparently and rumour had it he had an offer from Cork shortly afterwards. We sign 2 lads from the UK who are unknown to most fans and we let go one of our better performers (when he was regular in the team). I know he's ot as good lately but that coincides with him bein dropped from the first team for havin a few donuts.

    strange

foley was badly missed at the showgrounds, the new lad is a bit young, light and not very tough and the fagan Lad while good seems to have a bit to go fitness wise and looked a bit lazy at times. Foleys passing and ball retention was woeful but he was dogged and could have been of use for the rest of season

You could look at it 2 ways, one it shows that the manager is not afraid to make changes to a team that he thinks maybe isn't producing the goods on the park. On the other hand though, it will be like the start of the season again waiting for new players to gel into the team...IMO thats a situation that can't happen fast enough with the fixtures in the upcoming weeks....

I see on the Drogs page that Grey their centre back who can also play left back may be let out on loan. Can someone pass this onto TC! and see what he thinks as he probably knows the player and we could do with someone who can play lb

As big a trier as he is Ciarán Foley is a first division player. The timing is a bit strange perhaps but if Galway are serious about consolidating themselves in the top tier he's not the man to do it surely?
The ball is round and has many surprises.
