Its all speculation really , but I'd say the year in the 21s done him a lot of good and he probably wouldnt have been ready for the first team straight after arriving here

Hughes is currently in contract talks with us. Cook also revealed they officially turned down a cash offer for Hughes from Drogheda during July tranfer window.

They've got clearance now but can't play in the cup as they needed to be registered 2 weeks ago apparently. Should be fine for Galway though.

ya heard they got clearance today but cannot participate in cup game
tomorrow. keep the faith lads its going to be a v. tough game but we are the better footballing side. very close to call but i think we can at least get a draw.
