    radio hell... WORST DJ....

Seeing as i work in an office with the radio for company, just wanted to know who you guys find the most cheesiest, annoying, patronising DJs outhere in the abyss known as “daytime radio land”...

Mine votes are for Gerry Ryan, smug sex-obsessed know-it-all and Phil Cawley, Today FM who does the afternoon show, patronising git... and the cheesiness of Phony Fenton, who THANK GOD has left his show....

Em...this might be obvious, but just turn the dial and switch stations?
Try LyricFm...just the thing to soothe the soul!...

    I wish Oddboy.
    Its the busdrivers choice.
Apparently they've to listen to 96fm for traffic reports.
Also they contribute most to the traffic reports.
Apparently that 'tree down on the Lee Road' is just an excuse to the conducters for being late.
And anyway how are RedFm meant to get a proper traffic report when their three jeeps just follow eachother around Patrick Street allday.
And. . . . .if they really came across these traffic jams, would it not take them ages to report any other ones?
Whole thing stinks of crap to me.
Anyway, getting back on topic, 96fm is ****.

Speaking of bus drivers, remember used to get bus fromLongford to Dublin Sunday nights, the driver used to switch on the John Kenny Metal Show (God rest its soul...) full blast on the journey... very amusing but doubt the old lasses down the front thought so...

Worst Larry Gogan.... followed by Tony Fenton (Friend of DJ Jay of Blazers fame)......

If you'd get away with it, check out Phantom FM 96.1 and around 108 (I think).... doubt you'd get away with it in work though....

Tony Fenton isn't fit to live.
Sickening seeing him dancing on stage with his ten foxy hairs on his head @ Beat On The Street.
    Pathetic.

Is the school around the corner just the same?

    Don't diss Dave Fanning.
    He's THE legend.
Never forget when he left his mike on and was slagging Boyzone on 2tv.
    Classic stuff.

God that was embarassing, Fenton’s a bit old to be dancing around on stage with some young wans! YOURRRR A WINNNERRRRRR, urghhh....

Fanning was class until 2FM screwed up his schedule. Him saying that Boyzone cant even sing being caught live on that show 2TV show was top stuff, and he’d often slag off the manufactured acts videos being shown on the show sometimes... the guy is a legend... or was....

ALso, that muppet who did the dance show, Mark McCabe, never listened to his show ever, but that was the guy behind Maniac 2000, so two fingers to that guy, the WORST Irish track ever... and 12 weeks at No. 1 or something, hearing it everywhere ya went, dark days indeed....

    begiinning to rant here....

88.1 is the other freq. That's only strong in the south though.

We've had a fair few discussions on what radio station to listen to in our office. We agreed we'd alternate so first up on the girls picks Lite FM. My day was next. I was going to pick something like FM104 or 2Fm (nowhere near as cheesy as 98FM and play the odd good track) to appease everyone but as soon as the Lite FM card was played, it was time for POWER FM Absolutely rubbish dance station but hey anything but Lite FM. The girls revolted but I said if you have your ****, I'll have mine.

We don't have a radio anymore

Agree with most of the suggestions above. I never listen to 2FM or any of the Cork or Dublin music stations.

Only listen to TodayFM (less so now) & 106FM (Dublin TalkRadio) these days.

I know I'll probably get slaughtered for this but I actually like Gerry Ryan and I also enjoy listening to Charlie Wolf for that matter! Generally I enjoy talk radio, though some of the ignorant fools that ring in can really get on any sane persons nerves.

I can't stand our old friend Neil Prendeville and a lot of the DJ's on 96, Ken Tobin aint bad at what he does but he really is the best of a bad bunch up in Broadcasting House.
