Really, that's not the impression I get!

I hope he signs/ has signed because I think he would be a great addition to the squad. I know it's a step up from division 1 but, having seen him play some great games last season, I definately think he's good enough.

Cobh Ramblers here also broke the scoop that Stephen O'Flynn had signed for Queenstown this season so bear that in mind... I suppose O'Flynn was making a guest appearance for Limerick yesterday too!

The Star today. Page 78. Says it all really. Especially that Cobh Ramblers is a journalist of impecable pedigree who can sniff out any story anywhere... shame he can't get the facts right though!

    Bruton appearance sets tongues wagging

Cobh Ramblers striker Willie Bruton made an appearance for Cork City over the weekend, fuelling speculation that he is about to quit the St Colman’s Park club to join Pat Dolan’s Turners Cross revolution.

Bruton ended last season in a blistering run of form, netting SEVEN goals in the last four games of Cobh’s First Division campaign to finish the season as the section’s top targetman.

And his sparkling performances have inevitably led to speculation that he would be hunted by some of the Premier Division’s big guns, but Dolan and Cork seem to have stolen a march on the rest.

City played a friendly match against the University of Limerick over the weekend, with Bruton wearing the Cork shirt for the first time.

City’s regular strike partners George O’Callaghan and John O’Flynn scored the goals – both from the penalty spot – in a 2-0 victory for the Premier Division side.

Also turning out for Cork was former Manchester United, Millwall, St Patrick’s Athletic and UCD starlet Kevin Grogan, whom was forced to end a spell at Millwall before Christmas after persistent pelvic trouble.

The 23-year-old was forced to prematurely retire from the game as a result, although he may well make a comeback for Cork after visiting a specialist about the injury.

UL? I think not. To start with think this man is just working off gossip, possibly from here (which is fair enough i suppose).

    Whats the truth with Grogan?
    PLayer or marketing guru?
Seems to be a lack of transparency round the Cross at the moment.

That's the one BWF! So now from the dream scenario of Bruton and Steve O'Flynn up front for the sheep-lovers we have er... we have... maybe Jason Kabia will postpone his retirement for another year!
