The new season will see many clubs switching to Thursday evening kick-offs. The full list of days clubs will play home fixtures is as follows.
Athlone Town - Thurs
Bray Wand - Fri
Cobh - Sat
Dublin City - Mon
Dundalk - Thurs
Finn Harps - Sat
Galway Utd - Sat
Kildare - Sat
Kilkenny - Sat
Limerick - Thurs
Monaghan - Thurs
Sligo - Sat

Thursday nights and Saturday nights were tried before.

Friday night is by far the best night for attendances. I hope they don't start acting the fool trying things again.

I must add though that it doesn't matter what night we play if the club is not reasonably successful.

If its true, I think one of the reasons is they hoped to get
students to go to games cos they'd have nothing better to do ...
despite Thursday being the main night out I cant see too many
'non Town' students leaving a few bottles of Buckie to watch
Athlone.

If it is true I cant believe the only home game of the season I
get to see was that rubbish game against Shels!!!!

Friday night under the lights it the only decent time for Athlones
games!!! mainly cos it suits me

They could always follow the Longford example and have a few bottles of Buckie whilst watching the match!?! Added bonus is that they would probably come back as they wouldn't remember how sh!te you actually were....
