Cork City add striker to squad
Cork City have announced the signing of Leon MacSweeney who returns to the club after six years at Leicester City. The 24 year old striker has signed until the end of the season. Having trained with the club recently, MacSweeney impressed with a hat-trick in a friendly against Kildare County and has now been added to give the squad striking options.
Speaking to CorkCityFC.ie, MacSweeney said "I have been very impressed with the much improved standard since I returned. It is a different league to the one I left a number of years ago." Manager Damien Richardson said "I have been very impressed with Leon in training, and look forward to seeing him in action for the club."

I reckon he'll be alright. Does anyone know if he is finish his degree now or is he still studying?

Always wondered where he went to after Leicester...
Its pretty much like a 6 month trial. He is not coming from very high standard but we have been surprised before. I doubt Rico would have signed him for the sake of it so will be interesting to see if he spends most of his time with the U21 or senior squad...
