you dont mind waiting in the bus then? thanks

We obviously don't run buses to games across town
I'd be surprised if you've brought more fans than us to any away game this season. You had very few against us in Tolka and I'm sure quite a few who were there live in Dublin.

I've regularly gone to watch other clubs play in european games over the years so a chance to go to a game and have a few beers with lads who looked after us is hardly sinister. I'm sure any reasonable City fan would welcome the extre revenue.

The busses dont run to often when rovers fans finish work. Most only hang up their crowbar and gloves at 4am

In fairness Rovers would usually have the biggest away support at the cross especially when you consider league position.

ehh, Pete, I think you'll find that this is foot.ie and nobody cares about fairness. Or facts. Or logic.

If Cork do get through to Utrecht when would that be on? Might base a holiday round that. Obviously they'd have to get through the next round first. Utrecht is a beautiful city

These days its gotten so bad that Rovers are the only team that bring any decent support to Cork

Few years ago we beat Nijmagen in the intertoto, Utrecht would be quite similar but we need to play 100% to get pasted Hammerby first
    Oh no not them again

I think all the three Inter Toto rounds are succesive weekends so we would be playing Utrecht on the weekends of 22nd & 29th July

That is correct. Not sure if we would be home or away first though...

I think we'd be at home first and the away leg would be the 29th.

I don't see any problem with a few Rovers lads coming down on Saturday.
I'm sure they'll all be on their best behaviour
Do these Hammarby contingent consist of any female members?

Don't know where you got that from. Why would I support our rivals in Europe? Typical Irish minnowism.

And would that typical Irish minnowism include fans of a Dublin club coming down to Cork on a Saturday night to support a swedish team in the inter two bob cup?

If certain Rovers' fans want to support Hammarby that's their business.

As for the match itself, I expect Cork to record a comfortable victory.

Eh? I've watched and supported plenty of sides in Europe and only one wears green and that was hardly 'random'.

For a real insight into the parochialism of Irish football fans check out this beauty of a thread - http://www.ccfcforum.com/forum/Shamr...by-t19316.html

Whats your point? That Football fans are parochial about their own team! Shock horror. That Rovers supporters are somehow the cosmopolitan darlings of the football world? What? That Rovers are the only set of fans that have links with supporters from abroad?

Now lets get back to your original comment on typical Irish minnowism and does this include fans from Rovers travelling down to Cork on a Saturday night to support a Swedish team in Europe?
