does anyone who was there reckon that yeboah will be first choice?? will it be yeboah and glynn on tuesday??
Enjoyable game.
Tommy Walsh played beside John Lester at the back and was very comfortable. Both of his uncles played in the original Galway Rovers League of Ireland teams in the late 70s.
I thought after the early concession of the goal, we were going to be humiliated, but we settled down to play some tidy stuff. As other posters have noted the new signings all showed up well and were hungry for possession.
It was great to see Alan Keane getting himself back to business and he certainly didn’t pull out of anything that came his way.
One other spectator I spoke to mentioned he was close to Yeboah (and the players were calling him Yeboah – eventhough I’d heard he’d rather be called ‘Michael’) for most of the first half and that he was forever moaning about the poor supply. Surely a sign of a great striker.
Very disappointed to see a local talent opt to play for Sligo. Fair play to him, he took his goal well, and from what I could gather, is on the point of signing for them.
Fair play to Sligo for travelling and Paul Cook seemed to be a decent person.
Finally, I wouldn’t mind moving our remaining fixtures to Corofin, if the outcome was going to be the same, but, in truth, as I posted on the Sligo board, there was very little bite in last night’s encounter as you would expect.

hoop
I would start the pair of them that's if Steve is still unfit .
Neither of them are very tall, if that counts for anything. But then again TC was a of a similar height and it didn't stop him being one of the most prolific strikers in the League.
