Rovers U-21's 2-2 Letterkenny Rovers

U-21 league season kicked off today in the showgies. Went 1-0 down, Gino equalised. Then went 2-1 down, Sean Kelly got sent off(after coming on in the second half) and Jay equalised in stoppage time for us.

deering again acting the pr**k sending kelly off. wasnt the best of games, not alot of chances made from either side. just about a fair result.
kelly will be suspended for the seniors now i think!?

No, only applies to U-21 games afaik.

hopefully. he wasnt even going to tog as the game kicked off. he said he'd help them out though because there was only one other sub

I thought it was Flannery who scored our second goal, maybe I'm wrong.

i would have thought being sent off for u-21s means suspension from all games.

the suspension takes effect at whatever grade he has played most games on the date of the sending off. therefore as he would only have played one game at u21 he will be suspended from the next premier league game.

i hear he was very harshly sent off for foul language (apparently he didn't even swear!!) and i believe the management are very unhappy with the referee.

bit of a joke really!
