But they move up when they've dominated a weight division or they move up for a big money fight. They don't just move up to prove they can do it.

ya its money and the lure of a big showdown, which again reverts back to money, but they still can go up and win. really there aren't too many household names that would stick out for dunne to fight next in that division.

Ïd fear for Dunne against a fighter of decent pedigree. Beating No marks from around Europe however...
    what are you talking about!
that Norwegian was a bloody good battler, sure he wasnt a Mexican or whatever, but he had guts, and i think this was the perfect fight for Dunne, he couldnt have asked for a better preparation

Exactly. He was a 'bloddy good battler' as you say. But how much talent did he really have. Dunne had the beating of him in every round but didn't have the power to put him on his arse which better fighters would have done.

I wouldn't expect to see him beat the Spaniard in his next fight.
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

No but I've seen his record which includes 13 knockouts and zero defeats which indicates that he's a powerful fighter. It will be interesting to see how Dunne will do but I don't think he'll win tbh.

Dunne has more wins and more knockouts, without losing, although Martinez does have 13/16 KOs.

Maybe but it could also indicate that he literally battered 13 out of 16 oponents into submission, bums or not. Its impressive, as is Dunnes record but watching Dunnes last few fights, tells me that he may be lacking power.

The point I was making is that you've seen only one fighter so you can't say what would happen

so you are going for a fighter you have never seen, against a decent boxer like Dunne
    strange

Exactly , Spaniards are notorious for having padded record and then being destroyed when they stepped up . Martinez won't be utter **** , because he has stopped some guys on his record quicker than other notable opponents and has clearly beaten some of the tougher journeymen in Europe .
But if someone was to offer me the bet now that Kiko Martinez would not only lose to Dunne but will also never win a world title I'd take it .

Simply because I've seen it all before , Spanish fighters are fed weak opponents at home , get a nice record then fight for the European title(a perfect example is Sergio Palomo-http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=049294)
and then lose and don't do much after that .
Sometimes they have a decent punch and like Martinez stops most of his opponents and does it quickly .

Ever so often they produce a Castillejo http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=001308 but the truth is 95% of the time Spaniards are brought up with padded records and exposed at European level .

Despite what Dodge said Daniel Ponce De Leon(WBO) is the weakest of the champions but Molitor is the best suited to Dunne as he is a much lighter hitter than the rest .

However it is clear that the spaniard is going to be dunnes toughest fight to date plus the fact he wont be fighting in front of his home crowd
