This was a tragedy which could of easily avoided and nobody in the Irish and British media seems to want to point this out.

I want to point this out, because I think it's important.
BSG you can have a go at the media circus and all the cynical and amoral characters who are making a buck or building their image (to make money) off this case.

But I don't understand the thrust of your main point - that the McCann parents deserve to be punished. I don't know if you are a parent or not yourself, but I have to say, having your child kidnapped, realising after a few weeks the strong liklihood that she has been murdered, and also having the fear that these acts were done in order that she be sexually abused... Plus, on top of that, not even having the body to bury, is a punishment of a magnatude far beyond your couple of "hard questions" or a 6 month suspended sentence that a court might hand down for neglect. I think you are losing sight of that - or maybe not.

Most of your posts seem to be taking the tone of a conspiracy theory. You might want to have a look at that in relation to how people live their lives according to propaganda from Sky News, because conspiracy theories are the opposite side to the same coin of some oddball hanging a flag at an irrelevant football game in another country.

You seem to be saying that the McCann parents are amoral and cynical people themselves who are attempting to make some kind of profit from the media circus. In fact, reading between the lines of your posts, I think I have got where you are really coming from so I am going to invite you to say it out load. Is it your opinion that the McCann parents killed their daughter and the rest is their grotesque attempt at a diversion and cover-up?

Now it is commonly accepted that the majoity of serious crimes (murders and rapes etc) are committed by somebody known to the victim. In fact quite a high percentage of murders are committed by family members. But this is usually where the police start their investigation - but if they are following this line of inquiry they are certainly doing it in secret. Or maybe the Portugese police are bumbling fools just like Sky News say they are. But, I have to hand it to you, despite not having any first hand access to any of the evidence or people you managed to crack it when the cops did not.

As for the huge outpouring of support, emphathy and whatever other foolishness the Irish public are getting up to I'd say it's becuase most parents are human and at some stage of their lives they have selfishly put themselves ahead of their children in some minor way (like leaving them unattended while they went into the shops or whatever) and got away with it. This case is a warning to them and a reminder of their guilt, that is why you see the reaction you do.

But if you want a bit of good old fashioned revenge as well, then a scolding from the police, pointless court appearance + minor sentence and taking their remaining children away from their parents and into an orphanage should do the trick.

    That'll teach those smug child-leaving b*stards.

One simple question in response to this. Where is the proof that Maddy was kidnapped?

There is far more proof she woke in the middle of the night. Was terrified her parents had left her, went looking for them and fell off a pier or wandered into the woods.

Now let that sink in for a bit.

Kinda puts a whole other perspective on the case when it finally dawns on people that there may not be the bogie man which the McCanns are hiding behind. Look at them on RTE news tonight. Determined to look for "suspects" using facial recognition technology when the muppets couldn't call a babysitter!

There is far more proof that Maddy died because of rotten parenting than by the hands of an Ian Huntley type. But the McCanns and media act as it kidnapping theory is the only game in town.

Well, it isn't. I am sorry, even if Maddy is found alive and well and I hope she is. That pair of loolahs need to be locked up and their other kids placed in foster care.

I'd be very surprised if 10 of those people found out just from that poster what the girl looks like. Of those 10, there's then maybe a one in million chance of one of those people having seen the child.
The poster is of no use.

For arguments sake, lets say zero.
    Now I am bothered.
Don't bother trying to tar me as a careless ignorant.

I hope the girl is found soon but the only chance of that is if they find a corpse.
Best they can hope for is probably something like this although that might be worse for her parents some might think.
My point is that displaying the flag at Bohs-Drogs match is futile.
Now if 50% of people around Ireland who recognise Madeleines McCanns face and eyes (which is a great thing) were familiar with these
three people I'm certain there'd be movement on the cases.

I agree and if you don't mind Risteard, I'm going to add a Friend of mine to that list.

Great stuff strangeirish. Was not a close friend of Pearse Cremin but he gave me many laughs and made me a better tennis player . Met his brother a while back. He was very collected talking about him but left a big impression on me.
    Here
's the homepage for those Irish missing people.
I know that there are others aswell who haven't been publicised.
Obviously a lot of those cases will be unresolved, but there is definitely information out there and their families can be assisted by any news.

Yeah, basically I came over to the US with John Rowan. Mad as a hatter. Most of his family live here also. They manage to keep his name in the local paper, as his mother is now very involved in our area with missing persons. Tragic and painful for all those families.

Again I must commend you on cracking the case using only newpapers and TV for information. Imagine that the police would release all that information about an abduction without thinking she fell down a hole a few hundred yards away from the hotel.

Perhaps you should give them a call and save them all the hassle of serching for perps.

They release little or no information because they are lost for evidence. The only person who saw anything was a relative of the McCanns who gave some strange story about a man carrying a bag outside the apartment. This was later changed to "a mistake". This whole case is weird on every level. I have never come across anything like it in my life. From the events of that night to the whole weird money circus afterwards and yet people like yourself continue to act as if the McCanns are Parents of the Year and they bare no responsbility. This is what I do not understand. How can anyone condone leaving three infants alone in a foreign hotel room. If the McCanns were from a council estate and not enjoying the easy ride their social peers in journalism are giving them they would have been public enemy No 1 a long time ago. Old fashioned snobbery.

I would of rather the McCann's gave the baby sitting service a call the night they went out and this thread was not needed.

Sad to think if this "professional couple" followed though on basic parenting then Maddy would not be missing, perhaps dead.

For a boez fan BSG's initial long post was excellent. Dont think I am alone in being sick to fcuk of this by now. It has taken on a life of its own. Did the parents not leave the child alone?

Near where I live there is a religious icon and while walking home saw yellow ribbons on it a few weeks ago. Initial thoughts were they were for US soldiers serving abroad as had seen them in the states but when I saw that kids face I recoiled.

Now I have nothing but sympathy for the kid and indeed kids of all stupid parents but the poster from some boez fan is going too far. I'm sure this boez fan is the same mensa candidate who hangs his flag off the floodlight at every game at dalier.

No, people I saw hanging it up at the Pats game (I think one of the two blokes was a scouser) were not familiar faces. No idea who your man is tbh.

I was waiting for it! I just new that somehow, someone would try and drag us into this debate.

PS: You still havent answered the question as to whether or not the banner will be removed at future games.
