I forgot about Vaughan and his 45's.
will his knees turn all knobbly this time around?

Well if it's based on off the field antics either air it here, assuming it's not libellous, or leave it lie. Repeatedly making disparaging remarks about the guy without back up is rude to the readers as we have no idea what you are basing your comments on.

How about, if it's off the field leave it off this thread.
Good point geysir. I'm just irritated by this criticism as like Vaughan I'm a member of Kilmacud Crokes and he's done us great service so it's annoying to see him attacked without any basis for those attacks presented.

If opposing players foul Dublin players, what else would the referee do other than give frees? It's not like points from frees count any less than points from play, you know.
Usually free kicks are the result of good play, against Derry the Dubs won the 45's and won the free kicks, all through good attacking play.
The proverbial game of 2 halves.
In the first the Dubs disgraced the game with their goading. Worse than cheating imo. In the 2nd half they balanced it out by playing the game as it should be played and deserve credit for giving their all and contributing to a gripping finale.
This time I was a neutral watching Kerry and would have put my house on that whatever had to be done in the last 5 minutes they would do it. 2 lovely moves with 15 or 20 passes all over the Dublin half, very difficult to do, the Dubs couldn't foul, Kerry couldn't put a pass wrong and in between Dara O'Sé won a great midfield ball. The whistle blew while Kerry still had secure possesion. It was an emphatic win for Kerry.
The minor SF was a brilliant game which witnessed a classic comeback by Laois who were dead but not quite buried. That Zac Touhy nr 7 shirt will be a big seller in Laois.
Kerry were 11/8 at ht, what a farce. Must have been a Dub setting that price with very little regard for Paddy Powers money
For Dublin it was like the Derry game in reverse. It was effectively over after 50mins but Kerry switched off and let them back in. But you got the feeling that whenever Kerry needed a point they would get it.
GAA really need to sort out the off-the-ball stuff, the first half yesterday was a farce and both sides were to blame. People try and defend it by saying its a hard game, but there's nothing hard about late hits and slapping lads from behind, absolutely cowardly.
As for Derry in the minors![]()

Dublin should have known that Kerry would hit them hard from the off, but as usual we end up playing catch up!. The game was won in the first few mins of both halves. Kerry pulled, kicked, and bullied dublin, and this is what happens everytime they meet and dublin had no answer again!!#
At some stages of the game yesterday it looked as though kerry had extra players on the pitch, they always seemed to have more players in space all over the pitch with dublin gone missing for huge periods of game.
I enjoyed the game but Kerry can rough it up with the best of em. They have the experience and bench to win close games. The Dubs played well but those first 10 minutes in the 2nd half cost em.

You'll NEVER beat the Irish.......you'll just draw with us instead!!!
I see there is some focus on Cluxton's late wanderlust with the ball. Farcical yes but not crucial, Kerry just got possesion in their own half, they worked it up the end line, back down again, then across the width of the pitch before pointing.
The Kerry Monaghan game was as physical as you get, big hits off and on the ball, there were no handbags or flare ups, crucially there was none of the theatrical goading. That game flowed .
Here the goading precipitated a needlessly negative game in the first half, it was clearly a Dub calculated tactic.
The hits and tackles were of the same intensity in the 2nd half but the game flowed.
