Hows things lads, just asking, if anyone can get tickets for the all ireland hurling final that they would not be using i could do with a....lot of them. Ive been to all the munster, 1/4 and 1/2 this year along with all my mates and now as i am not a member of any club stand little chance of getting any. 30,000 + at the semi from Limerick and the final allocation is under 10,000, so a lot of pepple look like losing out. I wont pay over the odds, just if someone can get them please consider me.

I'm heading up for Sunday's match. Whats the buzz around Dublin like this week? Confident? Lots of bandwagoners? We were distracted by the Rose of Tralee for a few days but now attention is shifting towards the weekend with the sense of occasion now beginning to simmer, soon to boil over into nigh on unbridled excitement. I think the Jackeens will be silenced as the more experienced, win-weary, if only marginally better, team triumphs. Perhaps most significant in my calculation is the strength of the Kerry bench where several forwards of a very high calibre, with breakneck speed, lie in wait to vanquish the Dubs in the furious closing stages. Hup the Kingdom!

hoop, are you sure you shoudl be making the journey all that way, after all its only the semi-final

    Come on the Dubs!!!!!!

hopefully though, vaughn will get a box. I only found out he went to blackrock and is from a rugby playing background there a while ago ( thats not the reason why he deserves a box ( no one does ), but it helps though jokin)

Unless Kerry step up considerably on their form to date, the Dubs will beat them .

But they always do, don't they?

Vaughan deserves nothing less than a beating with a lead pipe. He is the lowest of the low, complete toe rag

This Vaughan abuse is OTT. He did one thing and some people are treating him like he's Mike Vick.

Dublin are not used to playing at this level are they?

Kerry defence will contain the Dubs, midfield battle to be evened out, Kerry forwards to make hay.

From a county that can't be arsed to travel until the final!!

In fairness to Dublins bandwagoners, they do go to ALL the Championship games and are pretty much paying for Croker based on the rest of this years dismal attendences.

exactly! And they didn't even hang around at the final whistle last year after giving us such a pasting. The pubs around Dublin were full of Mayo fans after the game (most in good humour despite the beating), I had never seen anything like it.

Well Fagan's was loaded with Dubs after the Mayo defeat last year but the losing side is always more likely to head home first after a game as they are hardly in a celebratory mood. It's hardly that surprising that there were less Dubs in the pubs apres match that day.

we tend to stay till last orders after a beating in Croke Park...... If we ever win the Sam I reckon the County would go on the beer for a week!!!!

I suppose the Kerry fans are so used to winning the bloody thing there is no excitement left for em.

Having made the arguably more arduous journey to Dungarvan for the first round match, yes, Paul, I'm happy to make the trek. Anyway, I'm moving to Dublin in time for the final so this is kind of like the annual pilgrimage to Croker

One box? you are optimistic that that would be enough.
This isn't a grudge game Leinster style against a bunch of plodders like Meath.
Kerry stood strong in the toughest game that any team in this championship have had to endure.
Apparantly, if having to read Peig doesn't kill you it makes you stronger.

If I was lucky enough to have a house I think I'd be tempted to put it on Kerry for this one.

Cruised through the championship, found another level in the closing stages against Monaghan and will be hyped up to the last against the Dubs.

Can't see Dublin not cracking under the pressure, the intensity and quality of the Kerry play will leave them humbled. I can see it being break neck pace in the early stages, if the Dubs can sneak 2 goals in the first 10 minutes I'd give them a chance of holding on, if not Kerry to put them away in the last 20 minutes and win by 5 points or more.

Wouldn't bet against Cork in the final either way. I've tipped them at the start of the championship for the last 2 years only for them to slip in the semi. They just might do it this time.

This is a better Dublin team than Kerry have beaten in recent years. With Vaughan knocking over frees like nobody's business, Kerry will not be able to foul. But if they don't, Dublin's forwards will score big.
Dublin to win, with Vaughan the main reason.

Btw, all Vaughan did was goad a Laois defender who had pushed him in the back as he was running away after having scored. If that makes him the lowest of the low, there's not much hope for any of us.
