    Copa America

Any other foot.ie heads for it?

I'm off to Chile on Wednesday and making my way across to Venezula to take in a few games(hopefully)
Tifo poles, sausage rolls and a few goals.

    You should be okay.
I think I remember half-empty stadiums for the last tournament.
I also remember great football though.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Watch out in Caracas, a friend of mine has just come back from a year out there, apaprently it's a scarey place, no going out after dark......
Apart from that apaprently parts of Venezuela are stunning & it's very cheap

I reckon Uruguay are a good outside chance of winning this, but it's still hard to look past Brazil and Argentina even without the strongest side.

I think Argentina will win it, they have their full side while a lot of the well known players are missing for Brazil.
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

Anyone wathcing this? I know the teams aren't the most glamorous, but the football being played is savage. Really enjoyable to watch. Brazil beaten 2-0 by Mexico last night. And Chile twice equalised before beating Equador 3-2
The glass isn't half full or half empty it's just too damn big!

Dman, Uruguay are awful and mypost, Brazil don't look great and have only won the Copa America 7 out of 41 times so while they've dominated the past 4 years, it's hardly the usual occurence.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Great shot of Maradona, Hugo and Evo in one of the papers this morning.

Where is it on next time out - I'd love to go if it were on at this time of year again.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

    Pass, Evo, pass.
They made up the political dignitaries in their tracksuits.
    It was very funny.
Referee was ready to go but Morales and Chavez were doing solos and shooting from the kick-off spot.

Hee hee! West Ham to win the UEFA, Uruguay to win the Copa, Henman to do well at Wimbledon!

Don't ever bet on UCD winning anything.

Go on the peru.I think we have a good chance of at least reaching the semis but knowing us well very hard work of it.We have as good as squad as ny team exept for the ovious two.
What other country has a better squad that peru? all we need know is to play well and win and win matches and do well in the copa America and more impotantly qualify for the WC.

Aye, never really worked that hard. Looking forward to seeing them against Brasil and Mexico though Paraguay may give them a match.
