    It's going to be interesting to see if the Greens try to re-introduce water charges. I believe the EU have a policy of introducing some form of water charges. Can't remember if the Greens have a policy on it.

    Without checking I would guess they would approve of metered water charges.

    Quite correct, they do. They support service charges in general.

    I believe the Green Party would support metered water charges & refuse charges as it reduces the excess use of water & reduces waste.

    We can argue how the charges are introduced but IMO its no surprise recycling has increased when waste charges increased. If you get a weekly collection will cost more but every 2 or 3 weeks & could be cheaper.

    The programme for government also says we will all have detailed electric meters in our homes in 5 years time.
