Anyone see "This is Your Life last" night on Simon Cowell and hosted by Trevor McDOnald, Wife wanted to see it so no choice. Three interesting comments to make:
(a) Apart from his family (who were all wheeled out together) and his girlfriend, everyone else was a so-called celebrity). No old friends, school teachers etc etc as per Eamon Andrews in the old days. Is life so "celebrity" driven these days that the producers don't think we'd be interested to hear what his old mates would say about him as opposed to Sarah Ferguson who was wheeled out near the end.
(b) ANdrew Llyod Webber appeared. At the same time he was also live on BBC1 (judging some reality c*ap competiion) and being interviewed (recorded obviously) on BBC2. Is this a record to be on 3 channels at the one time.
(c) Trevor McDonald described WestLife as the most successful "British" group of all time
Je' d'espair.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
