What a load of crap. Tony Cussins wanted Shane to play for Galway United to use as a window to get him back across the water, as he feels he is good enough . Money had nothing to do with it. When shane was on the move, Limerick didnt have a bright future, it was before 37 was set up. And the chance to play Eircom Premier was better than Division 1 dont youthink. Really are you saying that limerick 37 was not up and running before treacy went to galway cause that is lies. treacy was asked to talk to limerick but didnt want to and this talk of him going back to england is also cr*p. if he was good enough why was he left go from arsenal and as for galway signing him to get any money if he was sold on! that is really looking after players isnt it. his dad was asking for far too much money for him to sign so much for loyalty. he would be far better off in a good first division side looking good each week rather than playing with a bad premier side
If Limerick 37 were in the Premier, full time, and offering similar wages to GUFC, then I'd imagine he may well have signed for you.
