That's one of the main benefits of the summer switch - the opportunity to play the passing game is now a viable option.
Bohs have shown in places this season (the demolition of Longford being the major example) that when they can be arsed to play the passing stuff then it's as effective as the results of the so-called "hoof" shown in other places.
But as said previously - I'd rather take the trophies playing the long stuff as opposed to finishing second or third playing the fancy stuff

exactly incident.
Umm point to what team we had that didnt? The ones with the powerhouses up front like Gilzean? Umm thats it im out cant think of any other teams we had that had someone that big up front with the clear intention of playing it to him to win the ball in the air.
Always thought we had good ball players meself just not enough of themBucko Russel Gormley Foley2 Fahey etc:

I've heard that the football Pats played under Kerr wasn't very attractive. Considering a lot of people thought Kerr's Ireland played unattractive football I wouldn't know what to believe. Ireland under Kerr produced the best footballing display I can remember in the Amsterdam Arena with a very weak team. We had a good style of football under Kerr.
Sorry but going out to harold cross and inchicore you always knew the game would finish 1-0 or 0-0 and had very little expectation of anything else. Bohs and Pats games have always been tough on the eyes, and don't kid yourself that thats all down to Bohs. Result is you have not scored against us in 2 games and we have 4 points from those games, still I guess you may have played the prettier football![]()
The entire time Dolan was manager for a start, and for a couple seasons after he left Pats were dire to watch. I wasn't around before that, but i've heard you were just as boring in previous seasons as well.
The tactics consisted almost entirely of hitting it long, and hoping to win a free kick. There was no hint whatsoever of the team playing entertaining or exciting football.
Peno that was given was defo inside, peno that wasn't was too far away to judge so I'll go by what TV viewers reckon.
Bohs were clinical on the break and solid at the back, three points, end of. We were pretty in the first half without creating enough chances. Awful second half from us. Bohs resilience will keep them in touch but can't see them as contenders. Disappointment, sure, but no gripes - all tonight does is wipe out the cushion nice Rovers () gave us on Friday.
Revenge for 2002
What's the latest on Joxer?
Great win. Pat's had two or three openers in the first half as far as I remember that they never connected with. Nice goal in the first half and a penno that even (that ******) Kelly couldn't turn down to kill 'em off.

Apparently there was a banner on display from the Pats fans, which read:
Big Clubs Sell Their Grounds
If that was meant to be an insult or such - it's not actually that good
One wag on the Bohs forum came up with a reply to that banner:
"......and small clubs are gifted pubs."
