Marty Stapo here with a fundrasising idea for the bar! We are always criticising the players so how about a LTFC first 11vs LTFC supporters 11 made up of members from the 2 supporters clubs. I have mentioned on the grapevine to a few comrades so it seems to be a viable idea. I would think there would be a lot of people interested as I know for a fact that the Supporters club dont have enough funds to finish the bar quickly.
Second idea is with the new all weather pitches opening up soon how about organising an outdoor league to mark the new opening. Maybe invite other Eircom league supporters to enter a team and get somebody from the senior squad to present the trophy. Get some of the pubs or businesses to sponsor any of the above ideas.
Could you please give me your comments as soon as possible so we can have a bar. I dont want to be like Shamrock Rovers!
