    I would agree with that.

Doesn't matter, that the housing, health service, infrastructure, transport, inflation, pensions are all in crisis, it's all about how many € people get, that decides the election.

Don't worry, having voted for it to continue, they'll start whinging about it again next week, when it's too late to do anything about it.

People seem to forget that majority of people did not vote for FF (or PD)

58.4% of the electorate voted against them and that doesn't include all those not bothered/registered to vote. These people are more than likely the ones complaining about things next week

thats true enough too, and i agree
but since i was just home on friday, i missed the election, having it on a thursday def affected the turnout

and the postal vote! the only time i hard about that was the day of the deadline on RTE, no chance

are the governement really giving people chances to vote?
should be like in france, etc...spread out over the weekend

I heard the postal vote deadline was the tuesday after election was announced (sunday).

Does anyone know what the turnout was in the end?

I think if they made it easier for people to vote & ensured the electoral register was actually correct we would have a much higher official percentage.
