    O'Snodaigh is definitely struggling too.

Seamus Brennan has passed the quota in Dublin South. Liz O'Donnell is currently losing out to Alan Shatter.

Has Dick Roche managed to clean up a lot of the vote early vote often crowd?

Seán Crowe lost out to Senator Brian Hayes, a big blow for SF, he polled fairly weakly.

The folowing is true, the count centre in Wicklow may have to be closed and the count moved elsewhere due to water contamination.......
Already the toilets have been closed, I kid you not!

Rabbitte got in on 2nd count, RTE radio were at one stage saying there could be as little as 30 votes between McDowell and Gormley

There's about 250 between Gormley and McDowell and that's likely to grow with the next few eliminations apparently. Not over yet though.

Wille O Dea gets 2.5 quotas- who needs vote management eh? What a plonker.

Looks like usual suspects of SF Caomhaghin O'Caolain & FG Seymour Crawford are safe as is Brendan Smyth FF. Last seat a battle for other FF candidate Margaret Conlon who is not doing as well as expected.

Harney's not home in Dublin Mid West either. I think it'll be a fight between Harney and Fitzgerald of FG for the last seat. She'll probably take it though

Harney made it, with an unexpected gain for Labour.

Someone get the **** to put it in writing before he sees Wall Street again and changes his mind. Cheerio, Maggie McDowell.

Rabbitte backpedalling like crazy on the prospect of governing with FF on RTE just now. Seems to be a growing consensus among analysts that they've jumped the gun in declaring this one done and dusted.

When I see muppets like Dick Roche getting re-elected I see McDowell as a loss to politics here. Doesn't mean I would vote for him but still a loss as he is clearly intelligent.

I was thinking something similar. The most I can hope for now is a re-shuffle -can I suggest moving Roche to minister for being sodomised by large hairy men who use sandy vaseline.

Another flower amongst the dirt was watching the pantene provo Mary-Lou squirming at where it all went wrong for them today. They've apparently already started "analysing the data and causal factors" which possibly means there's someone in an ER out there minus a couple of knees or ankles as we speak.

I'm not sure where the McDowell rep for intelligence comes from though; his judgement is remarkably bad, he's ill-tempered and prone to hysteria, he's not notably loyal. I guess it's because he was auditor of the L&H or something, which often garners people an undeserved reputation for brilliance among people who remain impressed by those who impressed them at college.

She was parachuted into my patch but I did not realise until recently that previously provo candidate here got a lot of personal votes due to his Portlaoise stint. Mart Airhead lost brought SF vote down 5% to only 9%.

wouldnt be too hard on all the poor fools who voted for the builders party, sure what was the alternative.....a FG/lab coalation.that was a non runner

FF: but come on how the hell can.................Blaney, Cullen, jacob, and mary o rourke (FFS) get votes.............who votes for these people.....then i flick on to RTE 1 and see daniel o donnell in the RDS...and his "Rock and Roll show"!!! ........with all the aul ones..............typical FF voters.............probably be up for the bog ball tomorrow, after mass (of course)

still better the devil you know........
FG: will never get back into government until they have a radical shake up of the party...............many like me who would think of voting for anyother party.........depending on their policies.......but would NEVER vote for the farmers party

Lab: as the fella said...........they should have went for it alone and then decided..........Rabbitte is a ****.............can you make the same mistake twice and go into power with FF.............yes probably you can

SF: a good kick up the ar se............too many yuppies in the party now..........who would have thought that you would get D4 guys running the show in certain places................and what were they doing with mary lou in dublin

Greens: happy with this, decent party, good TDs

terrible that O Higgens lost his seat, one of the few politicans that really tries and is honest.......just shows that irish people dont really care about social issues, but just about how much money they can make, what a shame
then you see J healy rea and lowry and beverly copper fylnn..getting in.............and thats democracy for you!!!

and what about all the bloody nurses.................would bet that a lot of them still voted for FF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that would be so typical!!!
