There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D
Nothing. I set that up as a test yonks ago and I've never advertised it. We'll be releasing Foot.ie merchandise shortly, maybe we'll release a subscription with extra features (more pms, private forums, custom avatars) after that.

Does this mean mods will be getting paid now? Pay per ban?

Sure, until they rumble you for banning sligoman1, sligoman2, sligoman4, etc.
You can't spell failure without FAI
Over on ILF (our kind of Northern Irish equivalent) they operate a very stringent system. Unless you're a paid up member you only have so many posts a month and can only post in certain forums.
They didn't go that far on Boards.ie, but they did take away the inbuilt vBulletin search, making it impossible to find anything there. Subscribers got access to the standard search. They say it was because of performance issues, but I've refuted that several times.
That kind of thing'll never happen here. If search does stop being effective because of our size, I'll write an alternative.
A finders fee for muppets sounds like a brilliant idea. But who'll be left to talk to?

Too true!
We did actually have one Subscriber, SirHamish, who "joined" several times to show his appreciation for the site, despite my protests and attempts to refund. It's still a pity he decided to take himself off over such a silly little thing.
