“The Four Nations Tournament is a really great opportunity for young players to further develop themselves”, said manager Mick Neville. “We’ve got a strong squad with some excellent young players, so we’re really looking forward to this tournament.”

Shane Fitzgerald played the full 90 minutes in all three games. O'Sullivan did in the first game and made sub apperances after that. Ireland lost all their matches.

No, it's a semi pro tournament but apart from 2002 the FAi have chosen to send an inexperienced squad made up generally of under 21's.

England use their full semi pro side from the conference, while Wales use League of Wales players and Scotland rely on drawing from the Highland league, which is between intermediate and El level.
