Straight to the Man - Stone Roses - Just about the only Roses tune I never really warmed to. Ian Brown wrote it but I get the impression that John Squire just couldn't be arsed recording it.

Ernold Same - Blur - Blur threatened to become a parody of themselves on certain moments on "The Great Escape". Luckily the eponymous "Blur" album pulled them back from all of that Cockney Cheeky Chappie / musical score nonsense.

    Ditto. Tea though, this time.

Some oddball choices on here already.
Suedehead, How Soon Is Now, Fool's Gold?
    ??
    ??????

    Anyway, off t'top o' t'head...

    Eels - Fresh Feeling.
    Groove Armada - Lovebox.
Kaiser Chiefs - Time Honoured Tradition.
Pixies' - Head On, in fact most of Trompe Le Monde.
Anything done by previously pretento-rockers U2 before they got sense in 1991, except Gloria and New Years' Day (for giving Mint Royale that idea).
    Radiohead.
(Like the band, don't like any of the music. Except Karma Police maybe.)

In fairness, my explanation was perfectly rational.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"

    G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!

You're alright, Risteard, no point in arguing as musical tastes are so subjective.
But to say Sally Cinnamon, say, is >>> Fool's Gold is just crazy talk!

Oh, and one 'Funky Drummer' beat certainly does not a dance band make. More rational please!

David Bowie - The Laughing Gnome, absolutely ridiculous stuff & Little Wonder, he can't do drum & bass.
Prince - Automatic, Lolita, Sexuality, Kiss, all annoying.
Parliament - Give Up The Funk, The Placebo Syndrome
    Cameo - She's Mine
Sun Ra - Shadow World, For The Blue People, all just too much.
OutKast - Greatest Show On Earth, I hate Macy Gray.
Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At? , I hate that song.
Nas - Hip Hop Is Dead, I just hate the Black Eyed Peas.

    Best thread ever.

Profoundly disagree. Can't stand 'Lets Dance' which sounds like he's trying to be Duran Duran or 'China Girl' for that matter either. I liked Absolute Beginners (1986).

Little Wonder is a classic track.

Re: Morrissey - Suedehead has a dodgy intro, mid 8 and outro as well as an unremarkable melody. It is not a patch on any of the subsequent singles ....Every Day is Like Sunday, Last Of The Famous International Playboys, Interesting Drug, Ouijja Board Ouijja Board ....

Country House - Blur. Actually add Parklife to that. Far too chirpy.
Alright - Supergrass. Far too chirpy.
Neon Bible - Arcade Fire. (the title track, the rest of the album is amazing)
Candy - Ash. Far too sappy.
Bigger Than Me - Bell XI. Awful song.
Where Is Home - Bloc Party
    Jetstream - New Order
    We're Gonna Boogie -PRimal Scream

It was. They ponyed up the dough. Not sure it was the righteous brothers though ...walker brothers maybe?

What could possibly be wrong with an old fashioned tale of an ageing pervert college lecturer rubbing his thighs as the remarkably fit blind student brings her milkshake to the yard?

Think they ripped off the piano loop in the background from Dr. Dre, 'Still DRE' too. I may be wrong. Another few:

Linkin Park: Cure for the Itch (Mr. Hann my @rse)
Arctic Monkeys: Only Ones Who Know (they just cant do ballads)
Pixies: Here Comes Your Man (hated it when it appeared on Shrek)
QOTSA: Little Sister (Little Sister can i come inside there... A bit wrong surely?)
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Hump de Bump. Awful monstrosity of a track. (Come to think of it most of their last album)
Prodigy: Charly (hated their first album)
Strokes: Last Night (the song that broke them, but not my favourite by a long shot)
White Stripes - Little Ghost (banjos.. WTF?)

Career Opportunities (Sandinista version): The Clash.

I defy you to come up with a worse tune by a good(ish) band.
