Something not right with it anyway! Is this a private sale or some promo by the club?

That's a lot of money for bog roll.

Members of the forum collected money to sponsor a player...with what was left over we got the jersey and sponsored the u17s and are gonna use whatever money we make off the jersey to do something else for the club.

Some of the bids a bit strange alright. Bidder 8 outbid himself several times in a row.

So this is in the eircom league section but a real issue for the league like Longford points deduction and finacial problems are confined to their own forum?

    WTF?

It was advertised in the echo yesterday so that could have gotten awarness up. Its members of ccfcforum.com raising funds to sponsor players and the youth teams trip to the Catalunya Tournament.

You cant, the players know that signed shirts are a means of promotion, to bars and sponsors etc.

You cant just arrive up at the ground and get 10-15 sigs on a shirt, it wont happen.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Christ, that's a real lazy effort in fairness.
    Hope that smilie was ironic.
    Better effort would have been
"They only come in 20s now" (cigs) or
"True. Unless you want the sigs of the MFA directors." (not our ground, don't train there.)
    Buck up your ideas.

Surely the current bid is fake.

City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

not necessarily, he bid that much but the bidder before him (for my purposes, bidder 7) may have bid 100 euro, so that bidder 8 bidding 70, 75, 80 ... 105 until he had the highest bid (a ridiculous way of bidding, ill explain later) would appear as several bids but in fact he did not gain control of the auction until he reached the highest bid.

on ebay, the simple best practice is to bid as late as possible with whatever figure you're willing to pay. don't get suckered into the "ah sure its only a €5" more as you're paying €5 more than you value the item and will likely only stir a bidding war in which the only winner is the seller.

Do you usually emphasise your deadly serious points by laughing out loud?

    Probably for the best.
    Bidding has died down somewhat.

Just over 19 hours left of bidding,If it gose for the 900.99 it would be a brilliant sum of money to get for it.
