Finished The Killing last night. It was alright, rather than brilliant. Contrary to what I'd said earlier, it seemed to wrap up very quickly, like they ran out of story.

Is it still worth getting hold of the Danish original, or will it be ruined by watching the US one?

Yeah its worth getting the Danish version a lot of it is the same but there is also a lot more (not surprising when the danish season 1 had 20 episodes and the us only 13) you also get to see who done it. Season 2 of the Danish version starts on Nov 19 on BBC4, a complete new case so should be ok to watch without having watched season 1

Whilst I'm acquiring Forbrydelsen, I've started The Walking Dead. Had my reservations, but it has surpassed my expectations.

Romanzo Criminale - the tv series. Really enjoying it (on sky at the moment). If you like your crime shows set in the 70s, a bit of violence and babes then watch it!

Walking dead series 2 is a bit of a disappointment so far. I really enjoyed the first one.

    Really?
I thought the tension in the first episode when they are hiding under the cars as the walkers go by was brilliant...

Also i thought the first series faded away dramatically in quality as the episodes went on...But I'm really enjoying the new series.

The scene with 'The Swede' in episode 2 has inspired me to start a list of favourite exposition scenes.

Would it be worth a thread for everyone's favourites?

Well it's made it's way to my gaff via the magic of uTorrent and I'm liking it so far, certainly more than my previous impulse dl 'Terra Nova'. Always good to see Chief O'Brien make an appearance too.

the next entry in the Spartacus series is called Spartacus: Vengeance and will start in the new year.
    Here's a trailer
    (warning: NSFW)

Looks to continue the tradition of blood, nudity, Shakespearean dialogue, blood, cockney rhyming slang, sex, blood and blood.
All goals, yellow and red cards tweeted in real time on mastodon, BlueSky and facebook

season 2 of Shameless (US) started last Monday. Love it. Great adaptation of the original.

The things i would do to Emmy Rossum by the way, christ.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Anyone watching Raw on RTÉ? Never been a fan of Irish shows as such, but this is pretty damn good I must admit.

Yeah I've watched it from the start. That and Love/Hate are RTE's best ever shows imo.

I think Legend from ca. 2005/2006 is RTÉ's finest moment.

Watched both Raw and LH series 1's but failed to watch anything after. Enjoyed both thoroughly though.

Love/ Hate series 2 is well worth watching. It'd be my personal pick for the best RTE Drama so far (just confirmed for a 3rd series actually). Apparently, they're marketing series 1 & 2 together as season 1 for foreign TV channels. Raw started ok, got boring and too soap opera, but it seems a back on form this series actually. Not that I really have a choice whether to watch it or not.

Finished season 2 of Boardwalk Empire - really good. Looking forward to season 3 now. I can see the advantages of just waiting until the end of a show and watching them all in a run! Just coming up to the end of season 1 of Deadwood too. Really enjoying that.

I've done that quite a bit. Hate waiting for new episodes when I really get into something!

Having said that, watched the latest (season 3 opener) episode of 'Justified' earlier. Good stuff.
