If you were to make up a band from musicians in bands that have emerged since the turn of the decade what would it be this is mine
Caleb Followil - vocals
Jack White - lead guitar , vocals
Alex Turner - rhythm guitar , vocals
Nikolai Fraiture - bass guitar
Matt Helders - drums
Man just looking at that has made me realise just how little this decade has produced to date!
The ball is round and has many surprises.
id have
paul noonan or Isaac Brock lead vocals
Howard Bilerman on drums
Abi Harding on sax
jack white on bass/vocal
Tom Morello on guitar vocal
theres talent there
Gorillaz

A mash up between The Libertines and the Arctic Monkeys.
The sad thing is is that I can't think of any great musician this lousy decade has produced, Arcade Fire band wise, but I don't know about taking any of them out individually
well 90s band would be harder to pick i think... this decade has produced alot of good musicians... not great ones

Kele Okereke - Vocals, Lead Guitar - Bloc Party
Caleb Followill - Rhythm Guitar, Vocals - Kings of Leon
Nikolai Fraiture - Bass - The Strokes
Matt Tong - Drums - Bloc Party
supported by
Matthew Bellamy - Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards - Muse
Jack White - Bass Guitar, Vocals - The White Stripes
Nathan Followill - Drums - KoL (but hopefully he'd injure his hand so i could call up Dave Grohl cos theres feck all great drummers from the 00's!)
well you quoted the part of my post that referred to no great drummers and named Helders - read what you wrote and you will see where the confusion has arisen.
Helders is obviously incredible, surprised noone mentioned Matt Tong yet from Bloc Party. He stands out a mile as well. But apart from that no one really stands out that much this decade...Definitely something I'd have to think about. Feel like taking a cop out and including Johnny Marr as technically, he's in a nioughties band now that he plies his trade with Modest Mouse.
