The way is clear for the Suns now as the Mavs were the one team I thought they'd struggle against. Really can't see anyone coming out of the East to trouble them.

Pistons would beat the Suns inside of 6 games. Can't see the Suns overcoming the Spurs though, even despite their win last night.

Hmm I still think the Cavs or Jazz could pull off a conference finals shocker. Don't think either has enough to win the whole thing but one could definitely pull off a huge upset.

Don't think Jazz will. watched the game last night and they were blessed to level scores with 2 seconds left.

Cavs have the firepower to beat anybody. They should reach the Conference finals. I'd like to see them play Phoenix in the Finals as they're the two most attack minded teams in the NBA

The one thing going for the Jazz is that Suns-Spurs is likely to be a tiring series for both sides so they might go into the game on more rest than the winner of that.

On his day Boozer is a great weapon, and he can even get the job done when he's playing terribly.

Was at a Jazz-Warriors game in Salt Lake back in March. Boozer stank and still made a big contribution scoring wise. I think Utah has too much firepower for the Warriors so should go through in 4 or 5. My money would be on the latter.

Suns-Spurs could go all the way. I can't see it being less than 6 games.

That said I still think the Cavs are more likely to topple the Pistons than the Jazz are to overcome either of the other two.

I'm stunned that people think the Cavs have a shot. They'll probably reach the EC final, but Detroit will beat them easily. The Cavs are Lebron + a group of fairly average players. So far in Lebron's career, a number of teams have figured out that if you limit him, the rest of the team can't beat you. Detroit being one of the top defensive teams in the NBA will be able to do that.

In the west, it's looking very like Utah for the finals, but if GS win their first home game, things could get different very quickly.

Spurs Detroit final though. The best 2 teams in the NBA over the past 5 years.

I was saying that on their day they could beat anyone. Can't see them beating Pistons over a 7 game series though.

If Chicago get knocked out I hope the Suns do it for Pat Burke

The smart money is on the Pistons/Suns/Spurs and I think the NBA champion will come from those three but I can easily see a situation where only one makes the NBA finals.

He came on a few weeks ago and got a decent bit of time (rather than coming on for garbage time as they call it) and he did OK. He got a slam dunk and the whole team came over to celebrate with him.

    .

After last night, I reckon the Jazz-GS series will go the distance; so no extra rest for the winners of that series.

Would love to see GS v Spurs in the WC final.

Jazz lead 3-1. But Suns-Spurs might soon be over so I think you're still right on the no extra rest point.

    Wow. What a game.

You might be right about longer rests after all Aberdonian!
