    Serie B

How many get automatic promotion to Serie A. Napoli currently sitting second behind Juvé. It would be great to see th azzuri back in Serie A again after their tribulations. Another big club - Genoa in the hunt too. Mad to see Juvé, Napoli and Genoa battling it out in a lower division. Whats the story with the playoffs then?

    2 Automatic promotions.

If the team in 3rd place has 10 points or more, more than the team in fourth, they too are automatically promoted.
Otherwise, positions 3-6 play off for a promotion place.
Play-offs take place over 2 legs with no away goal rule.

Genoa shot themselves in the foot a few years ago so hopefully for their sake they've copped on. Would love to see Napoli back in Seire A.

Well, Genoa and Napoli swapped places today as the Azzurri lost to Mantova who lie eight points behind them in fourth. Genoa beat Frosinone by two goals to nil.

Napoli are absolute knackers. Can't wait to see them back in Serie A.

Verona seriously need some money to sort the club out, if they drop out of Serie B they might not come back for some time

That beautiful city to be the scene of another tragedy? One party looking down on the other from a commanding position? Sounds familiar, though flying donkeys would probably be more at home in a work of fiction

I hate Italian football or at least the way that it is run. Juve managed to hold onto the majority of their players and got to globetrot around the small clubs of Italy where they can draw support from home crowds. The punishment should have been more damaging to the clubs finances, next season they will be in bac in serie and in with a shout for the title.

They won't win the title next year, they'll be aiming for CL qualification though.

Agreed, but it wasn't just Juve that got off lightly, Lazio and Fiorentina were also meant to have been demoted to Serie B with a points dedcution, and Milan were supposed to have had something like a 20 points deduction (can't remember the actual, initial figure) that would have guaranteed they didn't qualify for the Champions League this year.

On a more personal, ranting point, after everything died down I seem to be taking more flak than anyone else over that scandal for supporting Inter Milan, just because we were awarded the title last season, the resident AC fan I live with constantly brings it up anyway
