Deccie Daly Testimonial???

At the start of this season a ex board member said to me that there are plans for a testimonial for Sir Hoofalot during the close season.

He said that the plans were for a Cork City 11 ie the current team V a City all time 11 comprising of Skippy, Johnny C, Gunther, Patsy etc.

Tickets were to cost EUR 10 and there was to be a benefit night as well in Jurys/ Rochestown Park. Daly was to play for both sides in the game.

If such a game takes place I urge all TRUE City supporters to support the Legend on the night.

Can anyone confirm this at all???

Sounds cool, but what would be better, is if say it was a testimonial for

Jonny C
Deccie
Gunther
Dave Barry
and a few other against a League of Ireland xi.

That way, they all get a testimonial, and the fans dont get fleeced.

Agreed. Sounds like a great idea and would be a great way for a Hero to retire on.
