Duffer was very quiet today although he did play in Pantsil for the cross for the goal. Didn't look himself at all though, which is a bit surprising seeing as he only played about 20 minutes on Thursday and couldn't have been tired.Carrying an injury maybe? Reid was peripheral throughout, a few good crosses , no tackles . Hasn't he slimmed down though!

Duff gets another goal today, he's starting to look like he is picking up form again since Newcastle

Duffer was fantastic today as he was against Shaktar the other night. Wonderful goal to go with it. It's either him or Zamora for player of the season.

Carr was solid for Birmingham, not international standard though. Made a mental note to check out Fahy, then forgot, as he was so anonymous. It's a real shame Baird isn't ours. A truly gifted footballer, despite his og.

Certainly one of Duffs best goals, he seems to be getting back to his best.

he was absolutely brilliant for Fulham today and played almost a free role popping up on the left, right and threading passes to Zamora through the middle. What a run of form he is on at the moment - long may it continue. Form is temporary, class is permanent.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Wouldn't get carried away with today's performance, more workmanlike than wizard-like - but he seems dangerous every time he picks up the ball, very encouraging. Long may it continue (as someone pointed out).

Duffer one of Fulhams best players 2n so far, they are on the verge of a massive result. What a difference a year makes for the lad!!

didnt see the game but i cant help but wish we had gotten Roy Hodgson as irish manager. Or at least that we might get him in the future. Such a good and professional manager.

The impression I got from somewhere at that time was that he was keen/had big ambition to manage in the EPL.
He already had done a very good job with an average international team and was ready to move up.

The sad thing is he was availible when we were looking before Stan got the job. Went on to manage Finland then if I recall correctly.
I pity the fool!.... But suggest ways that he might improve himself.

Not so Doc, he was already appointed or agreed to be manager of Finland before we played the last games of Kerr's era.

He was in the running for the job before Trap was appointed.

He is an excellent manager although there was a Fulham fan on the 5 Live phonein last week who wanted him sacked after their defeat by Juventus. I didn't hear last night's phone-in but I assume he will keep his job for another few weeks. I recall being in London in the mid to late 90's and choosing to watch Leyton Orient in the 4th division rather than Fulham in the 4th division as the biggest game in town that night. If you had told the Fulham fans that night they'd be playing Juventus in Europe within 15 years they would have laughed at you. Of course the guy phoning in last week probably had never heard of Fulham in 1996.

OK depends on your definition. He was considered but not a serious contender.

I'm actually quite happy with the manager we have, though Hodgson was my favoured choice, especially when El Tel was seemingly in pole position and endorsed by the likes of Dion Fanning. Fanning dismissed Hodgson as a Houllier-style UEFA-crat.

Damien was absolutely brilliant last night , showing the electric pace that some of us thought he'd lost. You're so right about Fulham 1996 (and 86 and 76). This is like wonderland , last night was marvellous, capped for me only by Stuttgart 88. An honourable mention should go to Kelly , who had an excellent game . Shame Hughes and Baird aren't ours though. Baird and Duff are great pals apparently.

Hodgson is a fantastic manager . I wouldn't be surprised if he moves on in the summer after all this. I wonder if Stan will be available?
