Duffer with a man of the match performance against Hull tonight. Assist for the goal and tormented the Hull defence all evening. Standing ovation from the Fulham faithful. Good to see.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Hopefully he keeps it up and doesn't get injured, great asset against a dodgy french defence!

I don't think they're that dodgy...Evra, Gallas, Abidal, Sagna? Sounds pretty good to me...

Cant see Duffer quitting international football, the same guy when injured actually travels to support the team away from home, no chance.

A legend - can't believe how he didn't get man of the match against Hull last night - the stand out player on the pitch!!! The move away from Newcastle is an obvious weight of his shoulders.

I think he's really benefiting from playing in a footballing side with a decent structure that has the ability to hold on to the ball and pass it around.

Newcastle was just a disaster and he never got quality service. Spent more time defending than in attack, where he's at his best.

What are the odds on him staying fiit for both games? I just can't help feel he'll get another knock. We never seem to have him when we need him.

Given the fact the entire french back four are on yellows, it'll probably be announced in the next few days..... except only for first seeds.

Do you mean he wasn't Sky TV's MOTM?
I was at the game last night and Duff would definitely have been my pick. The regular fans appreciated him and the Official Website had him as their pick, too:
"Fulham's Republic of Ireland international received a thoroughly deserved ovasion when Roy Hodgson replaced the winger with Zoltan Gera six minutes from time. Duff was arguably the home side's Man of the Match by a clear margin, followed by the impressive Zamora and Baird"
    http://www.fulhamfc.com/MatchAndTeam.../HullHome.aspx

What was more impressive was that he actually played on the right of a 4-man midfield, with (the very left-footed) Clint Dempsey on the other side. Consequently, Duff was directly up against Steven Hunt (left mid for Hull), and although I like Hunt, I have to say he was given a bit of a lesson by Duff, getting subbed by Altidore on 68 mins.

It will be interesting to see where Duff plays when Simon Davies is fit again. Davies's best position is attacking down the right of midfield, so you might expect Duff to move left to replace Dempsey. That said, Dempsey is more a striker than a winger (imo), is very good in the air, and so gets his share of goals. Also their longest-serving player and popular to boot.

Either way, though, Duff must be first choice of the three, at least on present form.

P.S. If anyone's interested, I actually thought McShane wasn't bad at Right Back for Hull - much to my surprise, since I really don't rate him EPL quality. Kilbane was out of his depth at CB, though; he was playing alongside Ibrahimo Sonko who I know from Brentford and who is really a Championship level player (imo). Indeed, of the pair, Sonko was better, but in truth, they were both given a torrid time by Zamora and Kamara (a goal apiece), who themselves must be close to being the weakest strike combination in the EPL.
Incidentally, Stephen Kelly was unused on the subs bench for Fulham; I don't expect he'll play too many games other than in an injury crisis, since Pantsil is clearly nailed down at RB for Fulham.

Thanks for the report Ealing Green.

Good to see Duff doing well. Hope he stays fit and gives the French plenty of problems.

I watched some of that online, best I have seen him play for a long time he had some great shots on goal, the fall-out from one resulting in the goal, not surprised he was MOTM.

Good to see Duffer maintaining his good start at Fulham. He got their first goal today as they came back from 2-0 down to get a 2-2 draw with City.

I didn't see the goal, but one site said it was slotted past Given from outside the area, great to see he is on good form, Sky Sports gave him man of match but I don't know how relaiable they are!!
Also Mark Hugh "unhappy with his defenders", shame he sold his best one then
Stephen Ireland only a sub, so a good match from an Ireland perspective.

This one kind of cunfused me too, but I suppose you could argue they meant he was definitely man of the match and arguably by a clear margin!
