Hope its a kick and he hasnt torn something. I have an achilles problem at the moment and its taking ages to clear up. Time to get out the rosary beads

Fulham substitution: Damien Duff replaced by Erik Nevland (tactical).

Possibly grasping at straws here, no way Duff was going to be taken off unless he had to come off with the form he's in at the moment.

Hodgson has just said on SSN that the change was forced upon them due to injury. Considering Duffs form of late I really hope this will not keep him out of the play off.

Was listening to the matched being talked about on the radio, and talk regarding tactical genius revolved around the 'tactical ungenius' of Benetiz taking Torres off 15 minutes later.
The comment on Sky Sports is "Half-time exit due to injury".

This article is a little worrying then. It's an ongoing thing, so if we can get him through the playoffs and then he can miss a while and come back in time for the World Cup.

Damien Duff is likely to be fit for the Republic of Ireland's World Cup play-off with France according to the winger's club boss Roy Hodgson.

Fulham manager Hodgson revealed on Saturday that Duff was substituted at half-time in their win over Liverpool because of a troublesome Achilles injury.

Hodgson is quoted on the BBC Sport website saying: 'It is very hard stopping Damien playing for the Republic of Ireland. You have to lock him in a cage.

'It is an injury he has struggling with for a while, it stems from his Achilles although it's a little bit more complicated than that.

The Finn confirmed that Duff will play no part in the Europa League game with Roma on Thursday, but that he may be fit for Premier League action next weekend and that if 'he's fit for next Sunday then there's no reason why he shouldn't play for the Republic.'

Hmmm... I think they mean former Finland manager...
