Brian Barry Murphy signed for Sheffield Wednesday today, and will apparently start against Wolves tomorrow. His old manager at Hartlepool signed him.

Hopefully this move will work out. Shef Weds will prob get relegated to Div 2, but look what happened Man City when that happened.

hope it works out for him but it ooks like a bad move- weds are in freefall since they got relegated from the premiership and they're in debt as well

Still he wasn't getting first-team football at Preston so going to Wed was the only alternative to dropping a division (or coming home) - is it just prolonging the inevitable. Even if Wed are relegated it is usually the longer-serving players who are cleared out. Alan Quinn will probably be much sought after - he has been Wed's outstanding player by all accounts this season.
