    Tolka Park closed down?

Just heard rumours that Tolka has been shut down indefinitly due to the state of the pitch.
Word is that Shels will play in Whitehall for the foreseeable.

However where does that leave Rovers - they surely can't use Whitehall for Premier games due to the number of seats etc. at that ground

Tolka as at 2pm yesterday: http://file028a.bebo.com/4/large/200...437660739l.jpg

Rovers nominated United Park as their ground before negotiating over Tolka.
They can play there if the Drogs still agree.
Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week

Not the sturdiest of back-up plans - any chance of both Drogs and Shams having their Premier License revoked if that Health & Safety guy kicks up a fuss...

I was in United Park yesterday at the U-17s semi final and the terracing work is almost complete (extra exits, crash barriers etc).
The H&S guy has already kicked up a fuss, we are restricted to 1440 until the work is finished.

Not a chance, we haven't got the seats, facilities etc. The only reason we got a premier licence this year was the new stadium plans. If something doesn't shift quickly we'll be in Oriel or Dalymount next season or else playing in Marian Park (Drogheda Town's ground) in the LSL.

No thats it after it has been rolled/sanded/fertilised. It was rock hard, bumpy but green on Friday night.

Is it any wonder that the pitch is wrecked.Everytime i see the schoolboy section of the sports pages there's a picture of kids playing in Tolka.

Add that with 2 senior teams it ruins the surface making it unplayable. The icing on the cake would be to invite rugby to play there.
