Didn't play today after scoring last week...some reward for Wes.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Perhaps Lambert felt Stoke might be a bit 'heavy handed' for Hoolahan today.
I think it's just a tactical thing.
Paul Doyle of the Guardian touched on the Wes Hoolahan issue from 1:40 onward in a video discussion previewing Norwich's season before their game against Wigan: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/v...-2011-12-video
Edit: In saying that, Stoke City today wasn't "a really daunting away match".
Hoolahan possibly would have been introduced as a sub anyway only for Norwich having had that player sent off. Still, it's interesting that Lambert has managed to tinker with his midfield like that so often and still get the results; delicate balancing act.
What odds on Hoolahan becoming this season's charlie adam?
Not much, holohan is 4 years older making his debut in the premier league and is a lot smaler.

Did very well when he came on today.
Not sure how he would fit into a Trap side but it is a disgrace how he is not in the squad. In a different class to Whelan & Andrews.
Yeah man, they call gambling a disease, but it's the only disease where you can win a bunch of money.
It seems Norwich were watched today so maybe he is under consideration, however I wouldnt go as far as saying its a disgrace that he isnt in the squad either, I mean, is he better than McGeady, Duff or Hunt for consideration for a wide role? Id say no, and as he seems to play centrally for his club a fair bit anyway, is he then good enough to rewrite the whole system we play for, again it would be a no, and that is what would have to happen as he would not be the kind of player who would take Andrews or Whelans spot like for like.
He is a better option than Andy Keogh on trajectory of present club careers, but thats about all. Neither having a major bearing on our match day squads just now. If in six months time, the survival hopes of Norwich City rest in his creative hands, as he has been that much of a revelation they could hardly keep the big clubs away from him in the window, then maybe there is a case.
There is no way Trap would play him in central midfield, however he plays...
has earned a shot in the next friendly, whatever way you look at it
Which will be after this qualifying campaign so it's moot now. I'd rather have in the squad if anything and he could do a Coxy from there.
DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?
Tardelli may have been there to watch Reid!
